To prospective alternate magic school creators: Please create a dedicated thread for your alternate magic school. It will still be linked to in this thread as any other. If you create an alternate magic school, please post in this thread its name, its parent school, and what characteristic it uses if you want it listed in this post.Bonuses or mechanical reference to core magic schools also apply to their alternates unless the SM or author of the alternate school say otherwise. Schools being worked on presently: None! Rites and Rituals: The ability to cast spells without being a spellcaster.

First, I want to get something out of the way about Khorne.
Khorne does not hate spell casting because he wants you "kill with your own power." If he did, then he'd also disallow weapons, vehicles, etc. No, there's a deeper reason. There's a reason far more primal than hating magic in all its forms. You see, when you cast a spell, you are stealing fire from the gods themselves. Khorne thinks magic is under the purview of himself, the other gods, and no one else. When a mortal casts a spell, it is a vicious mockery of everything Khorne is. What all gods are, really. It is going into his world and taking a piece of it for your own use. Most deities are okay with that because doing so expands their power base and don't share Khorne's opinion. Not Khorne; Khorne is a god of principles.
With that randomness out of the way, let's get started:
So, you're a Khorne worshiper, non-spell caster, or otherwise are unable to cast a spell? Fret not! There's a simple workaround for this problem.
Rites and rituals (as I am writing them out) are essentially the same as casting spells, with a few changes. The effects are the same, the materials and keywords are the same, even the spell levels are the same. There is one major difference, though: you aren't the one casting the spell.
When performing a rite or ritual, follow the spell as it works in its description and the standard spell casting rules. The changes to the spell casting process are as follows:
1. You are not the spell caster. You must have a spell caster trained in the spell school you wish to use. They don't need to know the spell or even be of sufficient level to cast it.
2. Do not make a focus power test. Instead of performing a focus power test using Spell School + Characteristic, perform an Intelligence + Forbidden Lore test against the TN to cast. Otherwise, treat the forbidden lore roll as though it were a focus power test. If the person performing the ritual has some sort of book or document containing the information to cast the spell, they can forgo rolling and the test is automatically passed with the bare minimum to succeed.
3. The spell caster must die at the end of the spell's casting. If a spell requires or allows concentration, it only lasts as long as a single instance of its effects. Hero points cannot and will not save the spell caster, and said hero points are wasted.
When performing a ritual, you may only cast one spell with the ritual. Spell combinations are allowed, however.
New Ritual:
Spell Permanency Forbidden Lore + Intelligence Keywords: Combo-OK, Subtle, Verbal Duration: Indefinite
Spell Permanency can be made into a combo with any individual spell that does not directly deal damage or summon a creature, regardless of its keywords. The spell's effects last forever, or at least until dispelled.

Ubicokinesis added. Conjuration is now tied with transmutation for most alts.

Not for long, for I made a mistake. I already have a Wisdom-based magic school on the backburner, which means Ubicokinesis was meant to be using Willpower (which does track with Fujino being an inspiration). And since I want to make schools using characteristics that hasn't been used before in the same "range", Ubicokinesis would be a Divination alt (no schools have used Willpower in that section).

It is done.
Time magic isn't in divination. Space magic isn't in conjuration.
Reality is worthless and meaning has no meaning.

If you want to be really annoyed, consider that Nihilikinesis was originally going to be in Conjuration.

Not annoyed, just intrigued. Nihilikinesis has a broad application so abjuration's as good as any and iirc that has plurality on core spells present in it.
