North of the Tau Empire, between Tarkir and Baator, the sphere of Andoran stands. It is home to the Neu Merican government: an autonomous splinter of the Imperium. It started as an expansion, but the distances of space required giving it more and more autonomy until it declared itself independent. Hot off a massive civil war, Neu Merica was reforged into a more rigid federation with defined responsibilities.
Physical Conditions
Andoran is a massive crystal sphere. It just has one star with no notable features. It’s a star, what do you want? Around that star orbit five major planets, each with ten hives of varying size and population.
The closest one to the star is Athas, a desert planet wrought with crime and hardship. It was a garden world in the distant past but unchecked magic and a nuclear war have made it a harsh badlands. It is undergoing a terraforming process employing native exalts but a competing faction wants to keep it the way it is to maintain control over their settlements. The hive cities are connected by a series of train routes and livestock paths that face the occasional bandit heist, requiring mercenaries (who are sometimes other bandits) to keep them safe. The people here worship Moradin for his tenets of hardiness and close bonds.
Next is Verduran, a world of forest and water. Its warmer range bands are rainforest and swamp, volcanic islands dotting the oceans. It is technologically primitive, the world itself nigh-inhospitable to electronics. The people take up hydromancy and travel via boat (whether analog or turbofan). Wildlife is varied, remnants of Tyranid invasion keeping the population hardy (and ripped, can’t forget ripped). These people worship Luna for the sake of coexistence with nature.
The middle planet is Carpenden, once inhabited by the Word Bearers before the founding fathers ousted them in a war. The people of this world are deeply religious not only for conventional but practical reasons (same days off work, dedicated time and space for socialization, etc.). It is still home to the Our Lady of Liberty sister of battle Order the Word Bearers founded there. It is an agri-world with the occasional forge, capable of feeding all of Andoran by itself. Its has converted from chaos to Sigmar in the recent past, and are kind of extreme about it.
Arthfell was the first planet settled by humans here. It is the most populous, with the largest hives. Bank robbers and organized crime run rampant. It also, strangely, is lousy with exalts and they just keep showing up. Some of them become criminals but so many have decided to fight crime they form organizations. It’s hard to keep track of. Most of this sphere’s guardsmen come from this world. The forces of chaos of all kinds are common houses of worship here.
Mithril is the furthest from its star, a cold, rainy, icy planet named for its vast mithril deposits. They were discovered a man by the name of Hancock, making him the founder of a rogue trader dynasty overnight. It is home to shielded military bases and spaceships as the first line of defense against invasion. Techpriests flocked to the planet and as a result it’s mostly Omnissiah worship.
Andoran Inhabitants
Andoran was settled originally (and mostly) by Mericans from Theah, humans have a slight majority in the sphere. For this reason they call themselves Neu Mericans, and the term "Neu Merica" has started to supplant "Andoran" for the name of the sphere. That said, said humans all also claim ancestry from the various races of the Wheel, to varying levels of accuracy (or even honesty; seriously only so many people can have a cervin ancestor it’s fucking bullshit I don’t believe y-)
You’d think these people all worship Kaliber for all the guns they have, or should worship Luna to reconcile with the whole FREEDOM thing. But no, it’s all over the place according to the people’s needs. They’ve replaced the Imperium’s love of skulls for more love of eagles. Eagles are the ultimate expression of FREEDOM, flying high and far.
The Screaming eagles Aasimar chapter use Andoran as their base of operations. They’re a massive chapter, over 13,000 in number before staff. They relate to the people’s self sufficiency and staunch value of FREEDOM. The chapter uses a 7-shot high-power bolt pistol and m16 pattern boltgun.
The native Andoran races were never great in number, and competition from Neu Merica has driven them back. Aforementioned cervin live on Verduran with leshen and elves, for instance. Athas has a high instance of changing breeds, especially nuwisha and apis. Kenku with white feathers on their head and brown body feathers live on every planet but Athas, where diamondback ophidians live.
There are rarely seen but present creatures throughout the sphere. The easiest to find are eagle-like and owl-like rocs soaring the skies and changing the weather. Feral bugbears wander everywhere that isn’t a city. Packs of ahroun and massive ghouls stalk wherever it’s cold. Bulletproof goblins troll the arbites. There’s a felen paragon out there somewhere, too.
Locations
Capitol D.C.
Capitol D.C. is a space station that serves as the Neu Merican seat of government, where each hive sends two elected officials to do the governing while they select among themselves who becomes the supreme elect. It arbitrates interplanetary and intersphere interactions, keeping hive and planetary policies autonomous.
Athas
The Deadlands
A vengeful druid tore open a portal into the warp to let loose daemons onto the land. They were pushed back, but the portal still exists and daemons still pop up in the area. There is an open hunting season on daemons in the area. The bigger the daemon, the bigger the bounty. Taken alive and depending on alignment, they’re worth even more.
Thunder Junciton
Thunder Junction is the largest hive on the planet. It is the crossroads of every train route between the hives and placed under a perpetual storm where tesladyne is mined. It is home to thorny dryads resembling cacti.
Verduran
Verduran Forest
A massive forest, larger than any other on the planet stretching from arctic to equitorial. It is a wild place full of massive insects and the odd electric rodent. Lumber is the primary industry, trees a kilometer high stretch from horizon to horizon. Though some trees will fight back when chopped.
Forge Brownen
One of the many Mechanicus forges in Andoran, forge Brownen manufactures for Neu Merica. They are esteemed for their autopistols and heavy stubbers, but their lasgun pattern is famous for the unmistakable ping that comes from the empty battery being ejected.
Carpenden
Gereon
Prairies stretch across the massive Gereon regjon. It is sparsely populated with human homesteads or the occasional prometheum well, instead mostly by the native elves who live and die by the ankheg. The elves have an ankheg part industry that the entire planet supports.
Riverford
Carpenden’s largest hive, Riverford is still very small. Situated on the Andoshen river, it is a thriving trading post where steam hovercraft travel each direction on the river. It is the home of the Order of Our Lady of Liberty, settled on an island with a dormant warlord warstrider to mark its presence.
Arthfell
Nova Yourk
Nova Yourk is the oldest and largest hive in Andoran. Like the rest of the planet it has a massive amount of exalts, even higher per capita than the rest. Almost like an exchange they tend to be weaker, leaving when they reach a certain level of power or they find a mentor somewhere else.
Nova Chicago
The hive is a den of organized crime, full of under the table dealings and corrupt or intimidated politicians. There’s a bank robbery every other week successful or not and the occasional underground drug den. Small-scale crime is so common private investigation is an industry.
Mithril
Lavieton
Lavieton is a dreary coastal hive city that has come back from the brink. It used to be a dying town but recently has become inexplicably prosperous. Lavieton’s largest known source of wealth is its fishing industry, but it has a sizeable educational value in Miskatonic University.
The Four Kings Range
17 massive peaks form the top of this mountain range. The ground has large, smooth grooves as though made by a heavy acidic contact. The largest mountain is a volcano with two peaks, and the second largest has a carving of four esteemed leaders of the Screaming Eagles, called the Four Kings.

A spelljammer captain is hunting a 4d purrgil.
You may be wondering: traskus, why?
Well first, it's independence day and I felt festive. Plus /tg/ made them and it's too good.
But more importantly, I felt there were some gaps in the genre possibilities of adventure settings. I tried to stay as close to the u.s. as possible not only in genres but intellectual properties. Obvious 40k aside, of course.
