The Anopheles strain is a mutation that occured in Vampires sometime recently, causing afflicted vampires to develop insectoid traits and a fierce almost alien hunger invading their mind. These Vampires were quickly exiled and/or hunted by their progenitor clans eventually forming together enough to form a group of their own. They do not refer to their group as a Clan, as they hate the clans that have forsaken themthey instead refer to themselves as Strains.
Static Powers
Crimson Hunger: As Blood Dependency, but the Anopheles has a Claws and Teeth weapon instead of a Bite (which still uses the same profile). Additionally instead of lapsing into a coma, you enter a Feral state and assume your Verminous Form and can no longer distinguishfriend from foe unless you make a Willpower Test(TN 20) at the beginning of each round until you have sated the hunger by restoring your Vitae by an amount equal to twice your Blood Potency.
Sanguine Metamorhpo: As a Full-Action, the Anopheles may assume it's true Verminous Form. While in this Form you gain a Proboscis Weapon(2k2 R; Melee; Reach, Brawling) you gain 1 vitae for each wound dealt with this Weapon, you additionally gain Flyer equal to your movement speed, Armor Plating equal to your Blood Potency, and a +2to Dexterity. Your form is disgusting to behold and an omen of pestilence and death, in any scene where the Anopholes must interact with a mortal being in asocial manner while in your Verminous Form, the mortal must make a (TN5+5*Blood Potency) Composure test or give into
their fight-or-flight instincts and either flee the scene or attack the Anopheles.
Sunlight Weakness: A Vampire automatically loses 1 hit point per round they're exposed to sunlight. Critical damage uses the E chart and Automatically goes to the body. A Vampire killed by sunlight damage is reduced to dust and cannot be returned from the dead. A Thick coat and wide hat, a parasoul, or similar careful preparation is enough to protect a vampire, though they'll no doubt be quite uncomfortable.
Undead Resilience: A Vampire has the Undead trait and may not be killed by critical damage comes from an E, X, silver, or magical source. Impact and Rending damage that would otherwise kill a vampire merely leaves them unconscious. A Vampire in this condition will remain unconscious until they spend enough blood to heal their Critical Damage past the point they would've been fatal.
Tell: An Anopheles' tell works differently than a normal Vampire's, as they gain Vitae their traits become more verminous and swollen, their muscles and blood vessels straining against the skin as it expands, and mosquitos and other blood sucking vermin begin to gather to them. As you Spend Vitae, you reduce your tell.
Power Stat: Blood Potency:
Resource Stat: Vitae: A Vampire's maximum Vitae are equal to 5 times his blood potency.
Blood Potency|Power Gained
