UNIQUE FEATS
Gadget Inspector
One thing you've learned after 21 cycles of adventuring: you never know what is going to come out of the treasure chest. You gain a free raise on all tests to identify weapons, discover the function of artifacts, and determine their quality. As well, you may - at the GM's discretion - know of any notable historical users of particularly noteworthy weapons.
Gold Rounds
You know what they say: when life gives you cheese sandwiches, load the special ammunition. Choose an Artifact material. By spending a Hero Point and a half action while manning an Ordinary vehicle ranged weapon, the next attack made with it is made with Artifact ammunition of a material that you have chosen with this feat. You may take this feat multiple times, choosing a different material each time.
Mecha Empathy
With your highly-calibrated senses, it's very easy to tell an engine isn't running on as many cylinders as it should. You can readily intuit the overall condition of items and vehicles when observing them in use and gain two free raises on all tests made to determine why a machine is not working as intended.
Modding
Whenever you take this feat, choose one of the following modifications you have not chosen before. You may make a Crafts test with a TN equal to a ranged weapon's acquisition test to apply the chosen mod to the weapon. You may apply a number of mods equal to the number of times you have taken this feat, but each additional mod increases the TN to apply the next by 5. Failure on Crafts tests made with this feat may result in a reduction of the weapon's quality or the outright destruction of the weapon.
- Arm Mounted: The weapon may be mounted to an arm, leaving the hand(s) it would be carried in free. This counts as firing it one-handed, but you can stabilize it with a single hand to fire it two-handed.
- Blast Shield: This weapon may be used to parry melee attacks. If it is a Basic or Heavy weapon, it also gains Armoured.
- Compact: Reduce the penalty for firing this weapon one-handed or unbraced by 1k0, and +2k0 to tests to conceal this weapon.
- E-Type: This weapon remains perfectly functional in the void, but attack tests in-atmosphere incur a -2k0 penalty.
- Extended Magazine: Increase the weapon's clip size by 1 or by its base Full-Auto ROF, whichever is greater.
- Rapid Fire: Increase the weapon's Full-Auto ROF by 1. If the weapon is incapable of Full-Auto, its Full Auto ROF is instead set to 2. When firing this weapon on Full Auto, the firer's attack rolls gain a static bonus equal to the lesser of the weapon's Full-Auto ROF and the number of consecutive rounds in which they have fired the weapon.
- Sawed Off: Pistols with this modification benefit from Point Blank while engaged in melee, while Basic and Heavy weapons may be used in melee. If another benefit would allow you to use Basic or Heavy weapons in melee, then they also benefit from Point Blank in melee. Weapons with this modification also halve their range.
- Shock Safety: If the weapon does not recognize a user's biometrics, it will refuse to fire and the user must test Constitution against TN 15 or be stunned for a round. An authorized user may choose to make attacks with the weapon as though it were a stun baton in melee.
- Specialty Ammunition: The weapon may be modified to fire specialty rounds. You may change this weapon's damage type to E, R, or X. This may only be applied to Ordinary weapons.
Reverse-Engineer
Gain a free raise when constructing a weapon of a type (ex. revolver, lasgun) you have disassembled, at the highest quality at which you have disassembled it, and two raises when constructing one below that quality.
Scavenger
Weapon components? In your trash? It's more likely than you think. Gain a free raise on all tests made to pick out the sort of things that you can make, maintain, and modify guns with - frequency crystals, microcontrollers, and reclaimed metal, to name a few - from among garbage for weapons you're proficient with. If you also have Weapon Focus for an applicable weapon, you gain two raises instead.
Tacticool
Why be satisfied with sticking just one laser pointer on your tactical flintlock? You may stick an additional attachment of any type to your ranged weapons. You may add an additional mod when making a ranged weapon using the Weapon Creation rules, reducing its price by one step if you do.
Tacticool 2.0
Scopes make knives more accurate, right? You may stick not one, not three, but two additional attachments of any type to your ranged weapons, and you may apply one Optics attachment to your melee weapons. You may add two additional mods making a ranged weapon using the Weapon Creation rules, reducing its price by two steps if you do. Also, you may add a single ranged weapon mod (that doesn't reference exclusive mechanics like Gets Hot and Sawn Off) when making a melee weapon with the Weapon Creation rules, reducing its price by one step if you do.
Toolkit
You may make appropriate Larceny tests - for example, opening a locked door or disabling a weapon's shock safety system - and tech-based Crafts tests using Intelligence in the place of the usual characteristic.
Uncivil Engineer
Regardless of whether or not you are soft-spoken and amiable, you sure have an interest in all things mechanical. You gain a free raise on tests to turn bullets, grenades, and missiles into timed charges, mines, or other traps, as well as on all tests to turn personal weapons into automated turrets and the like.
OTHER HOMEBREW FEATS
Craftsmaster (Remodeler)
You may reroll Crafts tests as long as you have an applicable specialty. You can only do so once per item or occasion.
