Where are the Artifact costs (in the Background/Artifact) for having items made of the various Magical Metals/Materials?
Is it just find the item you want and then check its Availability/Artifact Rank on the table in p225 (b1_v9)?

Yes, an Artifact 1 item is the same cost for Wraithbone as it is Tesladyne.

If you dodge with the jaunt spell can you use the evasion or return fire feats.

If you dodge with the jaunt spell can you use the evasion or return fire feats. Evasion triggers on the Dodge roll, so no. Return Fire functions after a successful Dodge attempt, so yes.

Hello are threads about porting DtD to other systems allowed?
I've run games of DTD using Risus: The Anything RPG (as its a comedy system which fits the setting I feel) and various homebrew attempts. I am now remaking the entire thing in Libre Office Draw with a completely new custom rules-lite D12 system for GMing DtD in my own campaigns.
Or are we strictly adhering to the system as is because its my favorite roleplay setting because I just wanna get on playing it and so far my hacked version of Risus for it has worked great.

Fellow +8 GMT here, sorry for not answering, I was busy with something else. Anyway to answer your question: yes - in the main homebrew subforum. A couple of others have made their own "editions" of DtD for example. Although DtD is a parody frankengame, it's not inherently comedic IMO. You can tell some fairly serious stories, or at least very sincere ones with the system. Much like how people have used Risus to play non-silly-stickman games. I merely hope your ruleset doesn't stray too far from the design concepts like exaltation powers since the game is pretty purposeful on how its rules are set up. Wish I could join the party but my own homebrew system is in data recovery limbo right now.An edit: I normally see people porting stuff into DtD rather than reverse.

The fork I'm working on is going to take a long while and it will be the same tone, I just used to use DTD with Risus (therefore kept it as a black comedy just because of the nature of the system). So just a liter rules system of my own creation capable of handling more serious campaigns with more crawly tactical combat but just run faster than DtD yet much more meaty than Risus.
The influences for it are Risus, bits of Fate, bits of Cortex Lite, bits of Free Universal, Cypher, all sorts except its now 2xD12 based (it might change but that's what I've started working with and it seems to make sense as least as I'm currently drafting it).
If something isn't fully fleshed out so you can use it in a game then I'm going to write it out. I do want it so that if there is something that fits the bill then there isn't something very similar (like loads of different versions of a sub-machine gun), I'd rather handle it with mods and upgrades because despite all the changes and additional content I want the page count the same or hopefully less. I would like it so in theory you can get it printed out and ring bound so its not a thousand pages.
So its like a condensed compendium like the Rules Cyclopedia + Bestiary or Osric with a setting like Monte Cook's World of Darkness and what I mean by that is that Cook's version of WoD is its own self-contained alternate thing, its similar to regular WoD but on its own.
Because if you going to have a fork DtD (at least for me) it should basically be rules-lite so players can experience a compact, denser version DtD so they can enjoy a setting that is mostly the same but has its own quirks not really for modding, just being a dependable go to game so I can concentrate on making adventures and campaigns for it rather than just endlessly adding homebrew. So one core book other than adventures/campaigns and NPCs for them.
Anyway this is all up in the air, as this is porting a very large 400+ system/ modernization/rework and its going to take a long time before I know fully what its going to end up as. I've removed the massive wall of text about what the setting changes are but its basically the same setting just different: Battech Clans incorperated, Ravnica content inserted into Sigil (or perhaps Terra), Eternia meets the Lost Land from Turok as a Crystal Sphere, Terra being all corporate and containing all the Necromunda/Outland stuff I want, Mortal Kombat, 'Dragongates' so Stargate but controlled by Dragons (I want dragons ruling all over the setting like in DragonStar). Rewrite or replace Crystal Spheres that are no good for what I want to use or I can't think what I would use them for or combine them so less planes/worlds/spheres but the ones remaining are more useful.
Cut the fat, merge three things into one thing. Make things more distinct from one another to make it easier on the players, Put the Primarchs and Empra back in somewhere and clean it all up. Rework the gear sections perhaps so things that should be there are in, whats just gimmicky or not useful is gone. Borrow gear from Aliens, Ghost In The Shell, Predator, Doom 2016, Halo, Eternal, Turok, Quake, Painkiller, Unreal Tournament, Gears of War and wherever but perhaps use 40k art for them.
Noise weapons which...... where are they? Obviously you can't have everything but I'm sure I can find room some how. What my Players (or me) are going to complain about not being there.

Keep in mind these are all my opinions and I'm not even the most senior member here—just the guy who's awake in the afternoon when everyone else isn't. NGL, this rules revision is going over my head since. Personally I prefer not to reinvent the Great Wheel (heh) and instead focus on a place that isn't defined in the book like my writeup of Halkeginia. I don't use the entire setting at once and instead I'm content to focus on a location that isn't defined in the core rulebook and use it as my base. I haven't played in any of the canon crystal spheres except for Carceri, and that campaign is nothing like the one in the rulebook. I think the current setting is fine and any changes to it would happen at the present or the near-past via background dots. Instead of changing a Sigil faction, the character instead is the leader of a new movement within the setting. The emergence of the Exalted provide an easy explanation for why long-standing establishments are uprooted seemingly overnight. There's enough space to add things without interfering with canon lore (just say it's isolated or undiscovered). Also, I think adding many new things misses the point of condensing what's already there. One of the reasons I love this game so much is that the kitchen sink setting gives me leeway to add whatever crossover element I desire and it fits with slight adjustments to make it part of the setting. For example, years ago I once made Indrick Boreale from Dawn of War as a Paragon Aasimar who follows Sigmar in his own special way, and Weiss Schnee from RWBY as an Atlantean Eldarin who's partnered with Ruby Rose the Mithril Promethean—and that's before homebrew enters the equation. Also this is my "home game" and the one I "grew up with" so the roll-and-keep system makes sense since the d10s work well with checks and raises, and it makes finer adjustment easy. If you're gonna add the Imperium of Man, I hope he's not gonna be an auto-pick as an Alignment. I interpreted your statement as intending to make him and his faction the "main characters" of the setting. There's a thread that expands on the Tau lore by mixing it with X-COM. It was back in the Zetaboards forums (before it got eaten by Tapatalk) though thankfully someone ported it over. I don't think you shouldn't remove equipment just because you think it's useless. At the very least it represents something in the setting. Sure, no one ever uses muskets but it's there for situations where the locals have gunpowder but not the latest gunsmithing developments. There are Shakarn sonic weapons by Marr, the Parabolic Sonic Emitter, and the many other Recital weapons. But they're not Noise Marine stuff. Oh wait, there are these two guns by DR, it's on the top of the post.

Forget it I need to read through the whole book again before I start planning out any setting changes but only if I really have to, my priority is to get the game running with a different system first.

The core rulebook makes references to “derangements” but doesn’t explain what they are or how they work. Are they the same as traumas and disorders?

Yes. Might be a copypaste quirk, but everything that implies you're starting out some level of bugfuck nuts refers to it as a derangement.
