We do. The tendency to cloister is why invites are not handed out willy-nilly.

At the moment I'm looking into adapting the starfinder star empire building rules for DtD.. I approve of more systems/tools to help SMs run the game. For every 10 classes/exalts/races there's maybe 1 piece of content aimed at running the game itself.

That's pretty much the case, yeah. Forum tends to go quiet until someone new comes along and draws attention.

If a forum comes off as standoffish, it's usually because there's a more efficient communication somewhere. Just like Chozo ghosts, they do practically nothing on their supposed base of actions save for occasionally post content that's already been vetted and and pared down to its optimal state, until a new name shows up and they all come shrieking in to gut the new blood like the catch of the day. Not a recipe for a vibrant or vivacious forum culture, yeah?

Eisen's maybe exaggerating a bit there, but he's not wrong. Most recent content you see from established users here goes through a fair bit of pre-screening before it hits the forum, next to all of which happens in the discord. Most. There are exceptions.

Being able to throw around ideas on Discord is always nice.

Hello! I'm pretty new to the game but I've been GMing a short campaign for some friends. At the moment I'm looking into adapting the starfinder star empire building rules for DtD. It's very much a standalone system that won't require many changes, and personally I think DtD is a way better game for a long Form game like that with big consequences. Also trying to do more homebrew/contribute to the wiki in general. Welcome to the Forum! Ah, timezones suck! It's around 7:15am where I'm at. The Discord server's initially meant to be used solely for game sessions because Roll20's voice chat is absolutely garbage. Mea culpa, I suggested it be used outside of it and I regret it since (just kidding). I do suggest that you shouldn't force yourself to create homebrew solely to seem like a contributor and belong. If anything, I appreciate having more players around to provide feedback on existing material. Not a lot of those nowadays. Really, testing feedback on existing homebrew is greatly appreciated. Glad to have you playing (and hopefully enjoying) the game.

So um, hello I guess
I been a fan of this game for couple years now, and I mostly was planning on being lurker mainly because I liked reading the Homebrew and the lore with it, plus I am not really best with social anyways. But then I got a few ideas for some Homebrew Races, and feel like I should ask help for them just so I can make something balanced. So that why I am here

What are your ideas?

Well, the main one is Race of Greedy Humanoid Pigs, which started because I keep finding stuff like that in fiction
The other two is a spider-race that is different from an Arachne, and a race based off the Groxes from Spore.

Cool, dig it.
The first thing you should ask yourself is: what does it get you? This is what stops people from saying "just play an x".

Well, I was thinking for the Pig Race that they could be more hardy in a way that would make less effect by debuffs, as well as being go at getting by stealing or socializing. Of course, this is just a rough idea of what I thought so far.

Hi
Status update: Stuck in the provinces since March 13 due to the pandemic (and the ensuing lockdown on almost all major cities). It wouldn't be so bad if this place doesn't have such atrocious mobile data reception. So I can't contribute much right now. Several times a day my signal just dies.
Sucks. But I have some homebrew in the hangars, I just need more polish and suiting images I can't look for because of the aforementioned connection problems.
One of them is my take on the Overlord which I mostly procrastinated on for over a year, until the planets/stars align and right ideas fall into my head.
Just waiting for the ECQ to end so I can return to Metro Manila (and its superior phone reception).
And I'm still responsible for recreating the Homebrew Directory, which is also in quarantine limbo.

Hey all.
Not exactly a new user, but I've barely posted on either the old or current forum, and that was years ago. I'm planning on getting a DTD campaign going soon and generally feel inspired to contribute some 'brew to this community, so I'll likely be posting a few things in the near future. Consider this a blanket invite for feedback, corrections and criticism on anything I come up with.
