Excalibur is by far the best-known of the so-called "holy" blades, a straight-edged sword with balance similar to the common daiklaive. Some knightly orders associated with Sigmar rarely consider a squire's promotion without such a blade. Hellblades are said to be gifts of Khorne to his chosen, daiklaives crafted of blood and fire and imbued with a Khornate thirst for blood. " Quarterstaff" is a fancy name for "stick," specifically one longer than a club, which is also a stick. Better-quality types might be made of or shod in metal, but in the end it's still a damn stick. Reaver daiklaives are enormous cleavers, usually the same size as the standard variety but bearing a broader, heavier blade. They're nearly impossible for mortals to use at all, and even exalts have some trouble using them. Ripper daiklaives are jagged, poorly balanced blades that look as though someone dropped a perfectly good daiklaive into a crucible full of knives to be melted down, and withdrew the "weapon" welded together. They're distinctly popular among the Doomguard as well as various Khornate cults. Tzeentch often bestows certain followers with a staff of change, a long cudgel imbued with warp energy that causes utter chaos wherever it strikes flesh. Why he does this is a question for the ages, and likely better left unknown. Parrying | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Ascalon | Melee | 1k3 R | 3 | VRare | Daemonic (Pelor), Defensive, Power Field, Sanctified | Goblin Fan | Melee | 1k2 I | 2 | UnCom | Combat Sheath, Defensive, Two Hands | Short Daiklaive | Melee | 1k2 R | 3 | UnCom | Balanced | War Fan | Melee | 0k1 * | 0 | Com | Balanced, Combat Sheath |
*=This weapon can deal either R or I type damage, decided at the time of purchase. Ascalon is a long knife, with an opalescent blade and burnished gold hilt, always bearing prominently the sunburst symbol of Pelor. It's imbued with the speed of sunlight itself, allowing it to be blindingly fast and punishing on the defense, but does little to help control its flickering speed when trying to actually hit something. War fans are simple, folding paper fans stretched across lightweight, sturdy metal frames, popular among Kenku and Kitsune as accessories. Some feature thin metal blades, instead of paper. Fans are often used in martial schools that teach redirection of force rather than power attacks. The goblin fan is a version of the war fan nearly the size of the Kenku who introduced it to the Wheel. It is, unfortunately, much more obvious as a weapon than its smaller cousin even when folded, as it can't be hidden in one's sleeves or even simply used as a fan. Favored by Eldarin, Kor, and Alternians (who refer to them as "long knives"), the short daiklaive consists of a straight blade too long and broad to be dismissed as a knife, yet too short to be considered a proper sword. Short daiklaives are typically forged in pairs, and artifact versions in the same magical material can be bought as such for only one additional dot. Flail | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Falcon Sword | Melee | 3k2 R | 4 | VRare | Flexible, Power Field | Lash of Despair | Melee | 2k2 R | 3 | VRare | Daemonic (Slaanesh), Flexible, Shocking | Weighted Chain | Melee | 2k2 * | 0 | UnCom | Flexible, Reach, Two Hands |
*=This weapon can deal either R or I type damage, decided at the time of purchase. The falcon sword is a particularly strange weapon that resembles a power sword with an odd scale design along the blade... until it's put to use. Momentum causes the blade to unfix and extend, turning into a long, razor-edged ribbon that snaps back into its original rigid state as soon as it stops moving. Slaaneshi hierophants occasionally find themselves in possession of a lash of despair. The pain of being struck by this torturous weapon is said to be enough to make Modrons scream. Weighted chains are a common sight among hive gangers, and very simple to make, usually composed of a simple length of chain fixed with locks or weights at either end. Specially made chains are often fitted with blades or spikes instead. Fencing | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Collbrande | Melee | 3k2 R | 7 | VRare | Daemonic (Cuthbert), Balanced, Sanctified | Reaper Daiklaive | Melee | 4k2 R | 6 | VRare | Balanced |
Collbrande, known as the "just blade," is said to be forged from a fragment of Cuthbert's own saber, after it shattered in a duel with Khorne. Rarely actually employed by justicars who wish to uphold the law, as it is unfailingly deadly against lawbreakers. Reaper daiklaives - not to be confused with their enormous cleaver counterparts - are longer, thinner blades, more like an oversized fencing sword or katana than the broad blades of other daiklaives. Cavalry | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Drill Spear | Melee | 3k2 I | 3 | Rare | Reach, Tearing, Two Hands | Direlance | Melee | 4k2 R | 4 | MRare | Two Hands, Reach, Unwieldy, Power Field | Power Spear | Melee | 2k2 R | 3 | Rare | Two Hands, Reach, Power Field |
The drill spear is a slim lance which sacrifices aerodynamics for the relentless power of its spinning tip. A power spear is, quite simply, the result of strapping a power field generator to a stick with a blade on it, resulting in a longarm that projects a power field. Pretty obvious, in hindsight. The direlance, on the other hand, is to the petty spear as a daiklaive is to an arming sword... an overly long staff tipped at one end with a massive blade and power field generator, to create a spear truly capable of piercing any shield in existence. Two-Handed | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Durendal | Melee | 4k3 E | 7 | MRare | Daemonic (Bahamut), Two Hands, Unbalanced, Sanctified | Gram | Melee | 3k3 R | 4 | VRare | Daemonic (Moradin), Two Hands, Sanctified, Unwieldy, Brütal | Greatclub | Melee | 2k3 I | 0 | VCom | Two Hands, Unbalanced | Grimcleaver | Melee | 4k3 R | 2 | VRare | Two Hands, Unwieldy, Brütal | Warpsword | Melee | 4k3 R | 7 | MRare | Daemonic (Malal), Two Hands, Unbalanced, Volatile |
The durendal is a beast of a blade as long as most Dragonborn are tall, individually crafted to an aspiring wielder from the blood, breath, and will of Bahamut himself. Very few mortals gifted with a durendal actually survive the ordeal; turns out that forging a blade of cerulean fire out of a god with impossibly high standards results in a weapon with impossibly high standards. Gram, known as "Dragon's Bane" for its reaving power, is an enormous cleaver, roughly the size of a Squat in all dimensions. It has awe-inspiring destructive potential, but even Moradin's blessing can't make it light enough to be useful for defense. Greatclubs are, well, clubs, but ones that are much too large and heavy to swing about willy-nilly. Most large improvised weapons can be used as greatclubs, but there are specially made ones as well. Grimcleavers are horrifically huge axes, with broad blades that should by all rights be heavier than most humans, supported by a hefty haft thick enough that it should prevent purchase. It is, understandably, a favorite among Orks. The warpsword is the blessing of Malal for those champions strong enough to lay hold of its hilt. Lighter and more balanced than the grand daiklaive it resembles, it is a blade forged of terror and malicious intent, quenched in the blood of daemons until it darkens beyond blackest pitch, shining like gold in the chaos of the Warp. Syrneth | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Biter | Melee | 1k1 R | 3 | UnCom | Reach, Snare, Unwieldy | Chewer | Melee | 3k2 R | 4 | VRare | Reach, Snare, Tearing, Two Hands, Unbalanced | Gnasher | Melee | 2k2 R | 5 | Rare | Reach, Snare, Two Hands, Unbalanced | Hidden Blade | Melee | 1k2 R | 3 | Rare | Arm-Mounted, Combat Sheath | Manreaper | Melee | 6k2 R | 8 | MRare | Daemonic (Nurgle), Toxic, Unbalanced, Two Hands |
Biters are the favored weapons of Neogi, made almost exclusively for their use and strange enough in their operation that most other bashers assume they're Syrneth toys. A biter consists of an articulated claw - often shaped to resemble a mouth, especially in better-quality versions - at the end of a haft almost as long as a fencing sword. Despite their use as weapons, they can be (and often are) used to pick up and carry small items beyond the user's normal reach. Poor-quality biters have no "teeth" and deal I damage instead of R. The gnasher is the biter's bullying big brothergi, with stronger and more forceful "jaws" on a longer haft that requires two hands to balance properly, but results in having better balance than its smaller counterpart. Gnashers almost always have jaws shaped to resemble those of some alien beast and, like biters, can be used to pick up and carry items beyond the user's normal reach. The chewer is what happens when someone tries to take the piss out of a Neogi by selling it a gardening tool as a weapon, and it somehow makes it work anyway. Essentially a gnasher with the upper jaw replaced with motorized ripping chains. The hidden blade is a complex assembly mounting a simple switchblade underneath the wrist by means of a bracer, with a trigger set so that a simple twist of the hand will operate the mechanism. It's a favorite among those sell-steels that can get hold of one, just for the ease of drawing and sheathing the deadly tool. Versions of Good or better quality (or artifacts) feature a bracer sheathed in metal, granting +1 Armor to the arm wearing the device in addition to other benefits. The manreaper is a terrifying corruption of the otherwise beautiful Syrneth grimscythe... rusted, pitted and so thoroughly imbued with Nurglite energy that it drools horrific toxins at all times. From an awe-inspiring weapon to one that fosters perfect despair... there is no more fitting a weapon to embody Nurgle's beliefs. Chain | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Chainfist | Melee | 2k2 R | 4 | MRare | Brawling, Power Field, Tearing | Eviscerator | Melee | 4k3 R | 4 | VRare | Two Hands, Unbalanced, Tearing | Progressive Knife | Melee | 1k2 R | 4 | Rare | Tearing |
Chainfists are equipment almost exclusively reserved for the Aasimar, used by highly specialized boarding squads wearing the heaviest of power armor. It essentially has a knife-like chain weapon built into a normal power fist, granting it superior armor penetrating properties. This is used primarily to gain access to spelljammer hulls, cutting through metal doors and internal bulkheads. In a pinch, however, it utterly ruins targets less armored than a typical ship. A vast, two-handed version of a chainsword, " Eviscerator" is the name usually given to these weapons by the Humans, who have a distressing habit of arming frenzied, half-naked women with these and throwing them into battle. The weapon is usually twice as weighty as a normal chainsword, at least, and capable of utterly destroying lesser opponents. The progressive knife is slowly gaining popularity as a holdout weapon among daemon hunters, featuring a folding blade with a swiftly vibrating edge. Trigger | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Clip | Reload | Avail | Special | Alkalis | Melee (Ordinary) | 3k2 I | 0 | 9 | Full | Rare | Trigger (E damage, Toxic) | Glacies | Melee (Ordinary) | 3k2 I | 0 | 9 | Full | Rare | Trigger (E damage, Snare) | Ignis | Melee (Ordinary) | 3k2 I | 0 | 9 | Full | Rare | Trigger (E damage, Incendiary) | Tonitrus | Melee (Ordinary) | 3k2 I | 0 | 9 | Full | Rare | Trigger (E damage, Shocking) |
Among the few melee weapons manufactured under Arasaka Incorporated's "Maliwan" label are the "Divine Scepter" series, the acid-dripping alkalis, the super-chilled glacies, the blazing ignis, and the electrified tonitrus. These maces share a very basic design, with an elemental capacitor within the head, fed by a power cell slotted just underneath. Newer (lower-quality) models have flanged or molded heads, while the (better-quality) prototypes have simple, sleek spherical heads.

Gun-Bang (Rare) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | ROF | Clip | Reload | Range | Avail | Special | Gun | Melee (Ordinary) | 3k2 I | 0 | - | 9 | 2 Full | Melee | UnCom | Balanced, Trigger (Flexible), Two Hands, Reconfigurable (Gun-Bang) | Bang | Basic (Ordinary) | 3k2 I | 0 | S/- | 9 | 2Full | 10m | UnCom | Double, Reliable, Scatter, Reconfigurable (Gun-Bang) |
For all your punning needs, the gun-bang is a two-meter staff (a gun) that splits into two meter-long rods ( bang) that happen to also be shotguns, connected by a thin, but strong chain. Highly popular among those Vanara who recognize the need for ballistic weapons, but who don't want to actually leave the furball to use them. Impact Stake (Mythic Rare) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | ROF | Clip | Reload | Range | Avail | Special | Impact Launcher | Basic (Launcher) | * | * | S/- | 6 | 2Full | 60m | Rare | Reconfigurable (Impact Stake) | Impact Hammer | Melee (Two-Handed) | 4k3 I | 2 | - | Same as Launcher | Same as Launcher | Melee | VRare | Unwieldy, Trigger (Volatile, X damage), Two Hands, Reconfigurable (Impact Stake) |
*=Varies with ammunition. The impact stake, occasionally referred to as "Replica Mjolnir," is a favorite among those who enjoy big weapons and high explosives. It consists of a sturdily-constructed grenade launcher built into a frame that can configure it into the head of a device resembling a goremaul. Some users swear that it still detonates its ammunition while in this latter configuration, thus explaining its higher damage potential. Saw Spear (Rare) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Saw Spear (Saw Mode) | Melee (Ordinary) | 2k2 R | 0 | UnCom | Tearing, Reconfigurable (Saw Spear) | Saw Spear (Spear Mode) | Melee (Cavalry) | 2k2 R | 0 | UnCom | Reach, Tearing, Unbalanced, Reconfigurable (Saw Spear) |
The saw spear is the cleaver's estranged sister, boasting a narrower blade serrated on both edges that allows it to retain its jagged cuts while articulated. The cost for this, however, is an awkward balance that makes the spear form slower on the defense and shallower on the strike than its heavier cousin. Threaded Weapon (Rare) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Threaded Weapon (Rigid Mode) | Melee (Fencing) | 3k2 * | 0 | UnCom | Balanced, Reconfigurable (Threaded Weapon) | Threaded Weapon (Whip Mode) | Melee (Flail) | 3k2 R | 0 | UnCom | Flexible, Reconfigurable (Threaded Weapon) |
*=This weapon can deal R or I damage, decided at time of purchase. For the fashionable hunter who desires that form and function comingle, threaded weapons are the tools of choice. These clever tools appear to be a cane or saber when in their rigid state, but a quick twist of the haft causes the entire weapon to collapse into a collection of razored blades connected by sturdy cable. Loop-Hilt Scissor Blade (Very Rare) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Scissor Blade (Sword Mode) | Melee (Fencing) | 2k2 R | 6 | Rare | Balanced, Scissor, Reconfigurable (Loop-hilt Scissor Blade) | Scissor Blade (Decapitation Mode) | Melee (Two-Handed) | 3k3 R | 6 | Rare | Two Hands, Razor Sharp, Unbalanced, Reconfigurable (Loop-hilt Scissor Blade) |
The Loop-hilt variant of the scissor blade is the more infamous of the two varieties, with an uncanny way of finding itself in the hands of those who seek vengeance or rebellion. The straighter edge of the blade faces the eponymous "loop," allowing it to be used similarly to the basket hilts found on other fencing swords. Notably, the weapon can unfold at both ends, creating a longer, curved blade similar to that of a reaper daiklaive, with the infamous loop unfolding into an extension for the hilt, to create a long sword more suited to executions than combat. Ring-Hilt Scissor Blade (Very Rare) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Scissor Blade (Sword Mode) | Melee (Fencing) | 2k2 R | 6 | Rare | Balanced, Scissor, Reconfigurable (Ring-hilt Scissor Blade) | Scissor Blade (Harvest Mode) | Melee (Syrneth) | 3k3 R | 6 | Rare | Two Hands, Double, Unbalanced, Reconfigurable (Ring-hilt Scissor Blade) |
The Ring-hilt variant of the scissor blade is much less often spoken of, though with an equally uncanny way of being so in the hands of murderers and tyrants. Despite appearances, the torus-shaped hilt of its named form doesn't make it any more difficult to wield than its counterpart, and like the other side of the pair, it unfolds from both ends. The Ring-hilt blade, however, becomes a twin-bladed scythe, difficult to master but terrific to behold in use. Manhunter Saif (Very Rare) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Manhunter Saif (Scythe Mode) | Melee (Syrneth) | 2k2 R | 4 | Rare | Reach, Reconfigurable (Manhunter Saif) | Manhunter Saif (Cleaver Mode) | Melee (Ordinary) | 2k2 R | 4 | Rare | Razor Sharp, Reconfigurable (Manhunter Saif) |
In the tumult of the Humans' ascent onto the Wheel, a bloody war had been expected. Thus, the manhunter saif, an enormous curved and recurved blade developed for the express purpose of slicing through armor to get at the uppity primates within. A distant and somewhat unloved relative of the saw cleaver, the manhunter saif features a heavy crescent blade on a long haft, sharpened on both edges so that it can be used as a tulwar or a scythe as desired, and can be folded into a similar cleaver form for storage and close quarters. It lacks the distinctive serrated edge of the saw cleaver, instead relying on its weight, curve, and finely-honed edges to make for a far finer cut than has any right to exist. High-Caliber Sniper Scythe (Near Unique) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | ROF | Clip | Reload | Range | Avail | Special | Rifle Form | Heavy Rifle (Ordinary) | 3k3 I | 4 | S/- | 8 | 2Full | 480m | VRare | Reliable, Reconfigurable (High-Caliber Sniper Scythe) | Scythe Form | Melee (Syrneth) | 6k2 R | 6 | - | Same as Rifle | Same as Rifle | Melee | MRare | Razor Sharp, Two Hands, Unbalanced, Trigger (Propulsion, Tearing, Combiweapon Barrett M82), Reconfigurable (High-Caliber Sniper Scythe) |
The high-caliber sniper scythe is simultaneously a weapon otaku's wet dream and berserk button, consisting as it does of a mechanized, articulating scythe designed around a large-caliber heavy rifle. The scythe blade is self-sharpened to a razor's edge, and the weapon is designed so that it can utilize the physical effects of the gun at its core to various effect even in its melee configuration. Naturally, this means it can be used as a gun in its melee configuration, though the heavy blade causes it to have the Inaccurate special quality unless properly braced. Corvian Multiweapon (Fabulous Max) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | ROF | Clip | Reload | Range | Avail | Special | Corvian Shotgun | Basic (Ordinary) | 2k2 I | 0 | S/4 | 8 | 2Full | 20m | Rare | Scatter, Reconfigurable (Corvian Multiweapon) | Corvian Daiklaive | Melee (Ordinary) | 4k2 R | 4 | - | - | - | Melee | Rare | Reconfigurable (Corvian Multiweapon) | Corvian Grimscythe | Melee (Syrneth) | 6k2 I | 6 | - | Same as Shotgun | Same as Shotgun | - | MRare | Razor Sharp, Two Hands, Unbalanced, Trigger (Combiweapon Assault Shotgun), Reconfigurable (Corvian Multiweapon) |
The Corvian multiweapon is a finely-tuned piece of clockwork and weapons engineering, born from the minds of the Raven Queen's followers who espouse despair and fatalism. Consisting of a flexible, scale-patterned blade on a telescoping hilt sturdy enough to withstand the kick of the integrated shotguns, but easily held in one hand when in its daiklaive configuration. Ballistic Chainscythe (Mythic Rare) | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | ROF | Clip | Reload | Range | Avail | Special | Shinobi Stubber | Pistol (Ordinary) | 2k2 I | 0 | S/6 | 6 | Full | 30m | Com | Reconfigurable (Ballistic Chainscythe) | Shinobi Kama | Melee (Syrneth) | 2k3 R | 4 | -- | Same as Stubber | (S*6) | Rare | Flexible, Trigger (Propulsion), Reconfigurable (Ballistic Chainscythe) | Shinobi Tanto | Melee (Parrying) | 2k2 R | 0 | -- | UnCom | Balanced, Double, Trigger (Combiweapon Autopistol), Reconfigurable (Ballistic Chainscythe) |
The ballistic chainscythe is an ingenious modification of the more common musou saber, involving grinding the blade down to a shorter length as well as a hinge and locking mechanisms for folding it against the gun barrel. Such modifications invariably include the integration of a rope or chain to the grip, allowing the weapon to be retrieved and Readied as a Free Action when dropped or thrown. Additionally, the sheath for the blade is sturdier than usual and also sharpened, easily used as a weapon in its own right alongside the actual blade.

Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Availability | Special | Jet Sword | Fencing | 3k2 R | 0 | Rare | Balanced, Propulsion |
Propulsion (+1): This weapon gains Throwing (S*6m Range). You may move up to your Speed whenever you perform a Full Action with the Attack or Movement subtypes. This movement can be done before or after resolving the action. Ordinary | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Range | Availability | Special | Boomerang | Melee, Thrown | 1k2 I or R | 0 | 10m | Com | Returning | Shuriken | Melee, Thrown | 1k2 R | 0 | 10m | Com | Annoying | Chakram | Melee, Thrown | 2k2 R | 0 | 10m | Com | -- |
A Boomerang is basically just a thrown wing with some weight behind it that returns to whoever threw it. Originally evolved from everyday objects, Shurikens are used by monks and assassins to distract their enemies. The Chakram is a thrown weapon similar to the shuriken, but heavier and more aerodynamic. Annoying: When this weapon's damage roll exceeds the target's armor, they must make a TN 15 Composure test or be Dazzled for one round. Returning: When a Returning weapon is thrown and misses, the wielder can use the Ready action to catch it on their next turn. Double Weapons | Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Double Saber | Melee (Fencing) | 2k2 R | 0 | UnCom | Balanced, Double, Risky | Thief Sword | Melee (Parrying), Thrown | 1k2 R | 0 | UnCom | Double, Returning |
Double Sabers are elegant, flashy, and dangerous, and are common among Elven communities and overconfident duelists. Short on jink, and only want to buy 1 dagger for the rest of your criminal career? The Thief Sword can get the job done, whether it's dual-wielding or throwing! Double: When used with two hands, this weapon may be used twice with Two-Weapon Fighting. Risky: Whenever a character rolls more 1s on a roll to hit with this weapon than their Level, they hit themselves.

Trigger WeaponsNew Weapon PropertyTrigger Weapons are melee weapons with 2 free 'Trigger mods' in addition to any other mods you purchase. Trigger mods can take from either the Ranged Mods or Melee Mods tables, but cannot use mods that reference mechanics exclusive to guns (firing rate, range, etc). The cheaper of the two mods (or one mod, in the case of a tie) does not add their cost to the weapon's rarity. Trigger weapons have Clip equal to 18 divided by the cost of both Trigger mods (round up) and a reload time of Full. In combat, Trigger mods do not apply to your weapon unless you expend ammo and make a free action Ballistics test after a successful attack or parry. Add your Level as rolled dice to the test if you're proficient with the weapon. For attacks, the Ballistics TN is is equal to the target's static defense. For parrying, your static defense must become higher than the attacker's roll after adding half your Ballistics roll to it. Your weapon can jam from this roll, but the melee component can be used as normal if your Trigger mods are jammed. If one of your Trigger mods is Combiweapon, the Trigger weapon's reload time becomes 2Full and you integrate a ranged weapon rather than the normal effects of the Combiweapon property. The combiweapon module can be any ranged weapon with a rarity one less than the melee weapon it's attached to (to a minimum of Common). The combiweapon's effective range is halved, and it shares a Clip with your other Trigger mods. If your combiweapon or Trigger mods jam, both features are rendered inaccessible until the Trigger weapon is unjammed and reloaded again. Trigger weapons cannot have more than one Combiweapon module, and the attachments are treated as separate weapons (i.e. does not add their damage to the base weapon and may even require its own proficiency). Examples of UseSquall the Guardsman is about to make a Standard Attack with his Revolver Gunblade on an Iron Golem. To better penetrate the monster's armor, he decides to try using his weapon's Trigger on this attack. First, he rolls his attack as usual to see if he hits in the first place. Because Squall has Weapon Proficiency (Basic), he adds his Level of 2 to his Weaponry of 4, rolling 23 from 6k4—more than enough to beat the Golem's Static Defense of 16. Then, as a Free Action, he rolls his Ballistics of 3 and Level of 2 to see if he gets to add +1k0 damage and Tearing to his attack, but the total is a mere 15 from 5k3—if only he could have applied his +2 ranged attack bonus from completing Guardsman levels! Squall has failed to beat the Iron Golem's 16 Static Defense, so his Trigger mods do not activate. He rolls for damage as usual, but his weapon's base damage is only 3k2 instead of 4k2 with Tearing, and he fails to scratch the Golem. Regardless, Squall has used one of his 6 shots, leaving him with only 5 more attempts to apply that crucial Tearing bonus until he spends a round reloading. Yang the Fighter is facing off against a pesky Ratling that keeps staying out her reach. Frustrated, she decides to blast him with the integrated shotgun in her Shot Gauntlets. Instead of rolling Brawl, she uses Ballistics for her ranged attack, rolling 41 from 7k4—four raises compared to the Ratling's 21 Static Defense. The attack hits and Yang uses the damage profile of the shotgun's 2k2 with Scatter. The Ratling is within Point Blank Range so the damage roll becomes 4k2. While it's decent, if Yang managed to close the distance and punched the Ratling she could've dealt 6k2 and maybe Volatile if she activated her Trigger mod. Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Clip | Reload | Avail | Special | Revolver Gunblade | Ordinary | 3k2 R | 0 | 6 | Full | UnCom | Trigger (+1k0 damage, Tearing) | Hextech Gunblade | Syrneth | 2k1 E | 0 | 9 | Full | Rare | Trigger (Orgonne Array, Snare) | Shield of Sigmar | Shields | 1k1 I | 0 | 5 | Full | VRare | Armored, Defensive, Trigger (Incendiary, Power Field) | Dust Rapier | Fencing | 2k2 R | 0 | 6 | 2Full | Rare | Balanced, Trigger (Force, Combiweapon Revolver) | Shot Gauntlet | Unarmed | 2k1 I | 0 | 4 | 2Full | VRare | Brawling, Trigger (Volatile, Combiweapon Shotgun) | Balamb-Pattern Gunblade | Ordinary | 4k2 R | 3 | 6 | Full | VRare | Trigger (+0k1 damage, Felling) |
The Revolver Gunblade adorns the side of many Imperial soldiers, but few bother to even pull the trigger once over the course of their career. Those who do, and learn to perfect the timing of the blade's recoil shockwaves, find the intense vibration can pierce even the hardest armor. Servants of Chaos who delve too deep into the mysteries of the Warp sometimes take a liking to the mechanical malevolence of the Hextech Gunblade. Pulling the trigger sets off a miniature Rift Torpedo, sending a cocktail of curses coursing through the runes engraved into the blade. The Hextech Gunblade tries to rip out the soul of whatever it cuts in that moment, which could bring them anything from disorientation to damnation. A Shield of Sigmar, like the faithful few worthy of wielding it, does not merely "defend" order and justice - it obliterates all who dare to stand against them. When all hope seems lost, a pull of the shield's trigger lights up the holy symbol of Sigmar at its center, igniting the holy water coursing through the shield, fueling a majestic display of flame and fury. Any blade, bullet or beast that touches the shield shall turn to ash. Occasionally used by Magitek Gunmen of the Elven races dabbling in the art of close combat, the Dust Rapier is named after its use of miniscule elemental crystals created as a byprodcut of Wraithbone refinement. This allows its wielder to momentarily bind spirits from the dust bullets directly to the rapier, mimicking the properties of Wraithbone blades. While the Shot Gauntlet appear to be just an over-mechanized brass gauntlet, the extreme short-range shotgun blasts they release can greatly amplify the impact of a skilled user's punches, allowing even a lightweight boxer to down a Goliath in a single punch - or so the stories say. The Balamb-Pattern Gunblade is a perfection of the Revolver Gunblade used by elite Imperial officers. Those with sufficient skill can leverage the weapon's superior mechanisms and reinforced blade to defeat multiple foes in rapid succession. The Gunlance is the perfect fusion of bayonet, lance, cannon and shotgun. It's a wonder that nobody thought of it earlier, to be honest. It seems so obvious in retrospect. Most people who favor giant hammers for their weaponry go for what is basically just a fancy rock on a big stick. The discerning user, however, knows that there's something more to the Gunhammer than just that. And that something is having explosive rounds detonate inside the hammerhead on impact A Raiser Pike seems like a standard pike with the blade end replaced with a power field contained energy emitter, is actually what amounts to a reinforced lasgun with an elongated body more suited to melee combat. It serves as an excellent melee weapon but it's true function lies with a trigger near the head of the pike. When properly braced while the trigger is pulled a massive, continuous pillar of energy streams from the end and can be swung at targets. A Jet Hammer is a fear-inducing piece of metal consisting of a turbine slid into place in the head of a massive war hammer. Taking impressive strength just to lift, when the ballistic system is activated it kick starts the jet turbine violently, which adds enough heft and speed to swings that small explosions form on impact. Switch Axe to be reborn as a Reconfigurable weapon.FootnotesOriginal post had the Gunlance's Trigger mods as Trigger (Flame (10m Range), Scatter, Recharge). Reconfigurable WeaponsJust when you thought Trigger was complicated enoughWhen building a weapon, you can choose to build a Reconfigurable weapon. If you do so, build multiple weapons which are all incorporated into a single object. It can be transformed with a Ready action, Quick Draw applying as normal. The rarity of the final weapon is that of the rarest weapon incorporated into it plus X, where X is equal to the number of additional weapons incorporated into it. All ammunition is halved and weapons with the Trigger property may draw ammunition from another source. The Hoplite Triptych is the pinnacle of hybrid weapon manufacturing, incorporating three different battle-proven weapons into one. However, the weapon demands great skill as each function has its strengths and weaknesses. The Burial Blade, as the name implies, is a weapon of the Raven Queen's design that gives accursed undead their final rest. It initially comes in the form of a sword-like blade but it also comes with special parts to convert it into a scythe that can deal momentous swings on both the living and the undead. The Saw Cleaver is an iconic weapon of choice for most hunters. In its close-range form, the Saw Cleaver rapidly cuts through flesh and bone. When articulated, the long shaft greatly extends the weapon’s attack distance for heavier, more devastating blows.

A rather unusual weapon, the Marionette Array consists of floating blades connected by magnetic wire to a control unit worn on the back. The blades are manipulated with dance-like gestures, which can fold up into miniature Las weapons and even shore up to form an experimental particle cannon. However, the weapon is difficult to use properly and there are stories of accidents where users entangle themselves from poor coordination. Special: Risky inflicts the Snare property on you with this weapon instead of dealing damage normally. Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Murakumo Array | Syrneth | 3k3 R | 3 | Mythic Rare | Arm Mounted, Brütal, Volatile |
The inspiration behind the Marionette Array, the Murakumo Array is a set of floating blades that move together in a single attack with a cascade of sharp edges. Thanks to its Syrneth-powered control unit, it lacks the flaws of its wired successor. Although it also doesn't share the versatility of its counterpart, it more than compensates with a much higher damage potential. Subdued (-2, Melee Only): Weapons with this property do not add the user's Strength to the damage roll. Rooted (-2): You cannot dodge with this weapon equipped.

The Steel Ball is literally what the name implies, a ball made out of metal. It is shaped carefully to provide increased aerodynamics. The Wrecking Ball is a heavier variant that causes targets hit by this weapon to experience a temporary loss of sensation on their left side.
Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Bullwhip | Flail | 2k2 R | 0 | UnCom | Dull, Flexible, Reach, Risky, Torturous, Unwieldy |
A popular choice for slave drivers and cattle wranglers around the wheel, the Bullwhip is a handle with a long, flexible lash attached to it. While effective against exposed skin, it is difficult to wield for new practitioners.
Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Chainsaw | Chain | 3k2 R | 6 | Common | Tearing, Two Hands, Risky, Subdued, Unwieldy |
The ancestor of all modern chain weapons, the Chainsaw is actually a power tool for quickly cutting wood. It's difficult to wield in combat and those who insist have to put up with its rather outdated build and strange manufacturing quirks. Despite that, it's rather popular as a cheap option among the Raven Queen's undead hunters when dealing with zombie hordes.
Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Availability | Special | Double-Ended Flail | Flail | 2k3 I | 3 | VRare | Two Hands, Flexible, Double, Risky, Unwieldy |
A Double-Ended Flail is what you get when you exchange a flail's handle for another head. With only the variable length of chain or metal rods to hold, it's remarkably difficult to use without hitting yourself (maybe twice with a slip of the fingers). Meanwhile seasoned veterans can display intimidating feats of skill, like constantly swinging both ends of the weapon or striking from two different directions.
Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Availability | Special | Drill Hand | Unarmed | 2k2 R | 5 | VRare | Brawling, Razor Sharp |
As the name implies, a Drill Hand is essentially a mining drill miniaturized and converted into a gauntlet for melee combat. Its powerful rotation and spiraling tip can pierce many layers of non-magical armor. Much like its origin, it can also be used to dig underground although it takes much longer due to its small size compared to larger industrial equipment.
Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Range | Availability | Special | Black Key | Thrown | 2k2 R | 0 | 20m | Rare | Unbalanced, Sanctified (Blessed Order) |
Black Keys are long, slender blades primarily used by agents of the Blessed Order. Although the weapon resembles a rapier, the tiny handles make them unsuited to be used like one. They are best used as throwing weapons like an elongated dirk, with experts holding multiple Black Keys in each hand. This weapon has a bizarre frequency to appear in random circumstances involving equipment, especially anything similar to a lottery, to the point that there is a thick layer of superstition surrounding it.
Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Clip | Reload | Avail | Special | Hurricane Cleaver | Two-Handed | 3k3 R | 3 | 5 | Full | VRare | Two Hands, Unbalanced, Trigger (Felling, Momentum) | Detonation Sword | Syrneth | 3k2 E | 6 | 5 | Full | MRare | Trigger (Blast (5), Volatile) | Rocket Spear | Cavalry | 2k2 R | 3 | 9 | Full | Rare | Two Hands, Reach, Trigger (Double Range, Propulsion) |
A Hurricane Cleaver is a large sword with a pneumatic mechanism that fires powerful blasts of compressed air. It can blow enemies away if not tearing them into pieces outright. The weapon's air blasts can be used adequately in a vacuum since it draws from small canisters attached near the base of the handle. Detonation Swords are strange swords that can release powerful explosive energies upon impact. Although the user gets caught in the blast radius, it's a popular choice for the desperate and the heavily-armored. The Rocket Spear takes the reliable design of a normal spear and integrates a rocket engine, allowing the weapon to be thrown at distant targets. Note: The Rocket Javelin assumes that the Longer Barrel mod can be applied to the Propulsion's range, effectively giving it a throwing distance of S*12 meters.
Name | Type | Damage | Pen | Avail | Special | Mähne | Cavalry | 3k2 R | 4 | VRare | Double, Reach, Two Hands, Unbalanced |
The Mähne is a heavy cavalry weapon with a pair of two-meter-long blades connected by a common hilt and a tertiary handle. It is designed for horseback riders to attack from both sides of their mount without flailing a sword from one side to the other (and risk slicing their horses in the process). Its weight and thickness is enough to kill armored knights without swinging through the horse's forward momentum alone. When used on foot, the wielder does not have that luxury and must deal with exhaustion when bearing the weapon's full weight. One wielder was observed kicking the blades with her boots because her arms alone weren't enough to swing with adequate force. Special: When used from horseback, the Mähne deals +1k1 damage while losing its Unbalanced and Two Hands properties.

Trident [Cavalry; Melee; 3k2 R; Pen 3; Rare; Two Hands, Reach] Commonly used by fishermen and sailors, the trident is also commonly used by the soldiery of the submarine races - they appreciate the irony inherent to a fisherman being impaled on the tool of his trade by a fishman.
Wonder Mace [Ordinary; Melee; 4k3 I; Pen 2; Rare] Evidently magic was used in the production of this weapon, as it hits astonishingly hard for its apparent weight. However, according to leading sorcerors, no-one can detect what magic was used in the production of these weapons, and no magical aura can be found around them...
Wrecking Rod, Pick head [Ordinary; Melee; 2k2 R; Pen 5; Uncommon; Reconfigurable, Special] Wrecking Rod, Hammer head [Ordinary; Melee; 2k2 I; Pen 5; Uncommon; Reconfigurable, Special] Wrecking Rod, Axe head [Ordinary; Melee; 3k2 R; Pen 0; Uncommon; Reconfigurable, Special] Wrecking Rod, Prying head [Ordinary; Melee; 3k2 I; Pen 0; Uncommon; Reconfigurable, Special] Most often found in the hands of junkers and ship breakers, a wrecking rod is a sturdy bar of titanium alloy with four different tool heads, designed to pry, cut, hammer and puncture metal, which usually comes in the form of ship bulkheads when a wrecking bar is being used. Using a wrecking rod grants a bonus of +1k1 to all Crafts tests made to dismantle objects, but also inflicts a -1k0 penalty to all Weaponry tests made using it.
Hyper-Blast [Two-Handed; Melee; 3k3 I; Pen 0; Very Rare; Two Hands, Trigger (18; Knockback, Momentum)] The Hyper-Blast is a weapon that uses devastatingly powerful blasts of compressed air to throw enemies hit by it all over the battlefield. Unfortunately, these blasts are so powerful they also throw the wielder all over the battlefield. I kinda figured it looks like a big hammer with a hole right through the head.
Thorn Blade [Ordinary; Melee; 3k2 R; Pen 0; Uncommon; Special] Wavy-bladed swords, carved with symbols that channel the Warp to sap the power of anything struck with it, Thorn Blades are most commonly used by sorcerors who focus on blending magical and martial might. A target that takes at least one wound from an attack made with a Thorn Blade loses 1 Speed until the beginning of their next turn.

Bioengineered insects which are smart enough to identify their intended target and seek them out, thud bugs are nasty critters with tough exoskeletons who can propel themselves toward their target at high speed. The thud bug's arguably nastier cousin, razor bugs are covered in sharp spines capable of cutting through armor. Obviously the next step in weaponized insects was explosives. Blast bugs internally synthesize explosive chemicals which detonate on impact. The gambler's dice are a set of six enchanted six-sided dice that empathically move at the user's bidding, but the actual rolled amount cannot be determined by the user. They will launch and strike and intercept coming attacks for the wielder, but aren't always reliable. More chaotic and wild than the gambler's dice, the ominous octet is a set of eight haunted eight-sided dice, usually animal spirits bound to the dice but that can vary depending on quality. More prone to devastating blows at the enemy, these die bounce and clatter around wildly when rolled. Tempting fate by rolling the warp incarnate, the warped dodecahedrons are a set of twelve twelve-sided dice are made of warp channeling material that cause warp fluctuations in anyone they strike. Be wary when rolling these dice, sometimes opening the warp can harm you as well as your enemy.

During the great crusade known as the "Punching of the Dylad System," the single loyal planet in the Sphere fell under attack from the forces of Chaos. First to respond to the attack but grossly outnumbered, the Angry Marines battled in and around the Hive-Capital of Dylad 2 until at last the Chapter Master (known only as The Angriest) took his Techmarines with him and went around every single home personally ripping the doorknobs off. With each knob the Techmarines would attach a power field generator and then place it in a sack somehow made out of adamantine weave, until the sack was full and a single activator for all the power fields was attached to the sack. During the early attempts at reverse engineering Syrneth technologies engineers of The Sphere could only partially recreate the effects of their technological wonders with more primitive components. One example is the Laser Rapier. It utilizes a semi-crystalline flexible composite blade to contain the beam of energy. The blade flexes when striking targets, allowing the beam to partially escape scorching and cutting through most fleshy parts with ease. After decades of work and many failed experiments artificers successfully recreated the Syrneth Las Blade. A beam of contained energy that extends and retracts fully from a hilt. Early attempts yielded cohesive beams of energy that did not stop and depleted their power packs within seconds. While these experiments were useful for developing mining lasers and refining beam weapons, nothing is as cool as beating someone with a laser, so work continued. Eventually the beam containment issue was resolved and truly remarkable weapons were developed. A blade of cohesive energy to hack apart things with frightening efficiency. Long Las Blade Bigger is better! By adding rare larger emitter crystals and focusing arrays a two handed version of the standard Las Blade was developed. Shoto Las Blade Small and sleek, this weapon was lightened with the off hand in mind. It's short blade and perfectly balanced handle were designed to fend off any attacker with a flick of the wrist. Stones come in all shapes and sizes, you can cudgel someone with them or throw them in a pinch. These need not be actual rocks, they could be ball bearings, a dilithium crystal, or the alternator from a '98 Camry. Millennia ago someone figured out that stone and metal throws better when it has a uniform shape and weight distribution. The Discus is one such example of a mass meant for throwing. It's increased mass unfortunately decreases the range.
