The White Reaper discipline takes its name from a literal translation of an old Draconic word for an extremely harsh winter, the kind that kills through temperature alone before flensing the gelid corpse with wind and snow. An adept of this school strives to emulate these hellish winters, lurking unseen where the enemy must pass and striking cold and fast before vanishing into the drifts once more.
The key skill for White Reaper is Stealth, and it favors scythes especially among Syrneth weapons. It's said that the style was first developed in exile, by a lone Syrne banished to a cold painting.
Level 1: Apprentice
-Weapon (Syrneth): Use Syrneth weapons with your martial maneuvers.
-Action (Fight Defensively): Use Fight Defensively actions with your martial maneuvers.
Level 2: Initiate
(-2)Snow Follows Winter: This attack can only be used on a target you are hidden from.
(2)Chilling Strike: This attack gains the Sapping quality.
Level 3: Journeyman
(-1)Skill (Stealth): As part of this attack, make a Stealth test against the Static Defense of the target. If it fails, the attack fails.
(4)Path of Frost: This attack gains the Line (2) property with a range of 4 times your Strength. The area described by the line becomes a field of icy blades, considered to be Difficult Terrain. Any creature attempting to enter or move within this area takes 1 wound with the type and properties of the weapon used in this attack. The icicles remain for a number of rounds equal to your martial adept level, or until sufficient action is taken to remove them, whichever comes first.
Level 4: Master
-Mastery (Impenetrable White Shroud): You can cast Improved Invisibility, using White Reaper + Dexterity instead of the normal magic test. You're completely unaffected by extremely cold weather, and might even find the chill comforting.
(3)Black Ice Blade: If this attack would hit the target's Head, it gains the Blinding property. Otherwise, it gains the Binding property. The TN of either is equal to the result of your attack roll.
Level 5: Grandmaster
(4)Aurora Incidentalis: As part of this attack, the area within 100m of you is plunged into total darkness for one minute, ending any light-creating spells or effects in the area, and the temperature plummets to below freezing in an instant. You can see in this darkness as though it was illuminated by a brilliant aurora.
