There's a certain magic that happens when a mortal creates. Blood, sweat, and hard work come together to build not just cars and skyscrapers, but amazing feats of engineering - spelljammers, warp relays, and the like. It's a subtle, almost imperceptable magic and connection between those creating and the creation. Many individuals find fun in building personal vehicles for their needs, working long hours and pouring their soul into their work - sometimes literally.
Sometimes, this subtle magic coalesces into a bond so strong, a piece of that mortal's mind and spirit splits off to inhabit the vehicle, a living extension of its creator. Dubbed collectively as Panzers, they travel the Wheel with their counterparts, putting their skills to the test against others in breakneck, obstacle-filled races and runs, pushing their connection to the limit.
Tell: As Nitro is spent, the humming of vehicle engines fills the air. As they spend more, glowing lines appear on the Panzer's body and their vehicle.
Powers
Real Steel: You are bonded to a custom vehicle that only you can pilot, built with a 250 VP budget. You can spend Nitro to heal your vehicle in combat. Outside of combat, your vehicle heals as if it had the Living Vehicle modification. Whenever you increase your Engine, rebuild your vehicle with 50 VP added to the budget.
Showtime: You can control your vehicle as if it had a Remote Uplink System. If your vehicle is not in the current scene with you, you can summon it by spending 1 Nitro. The vehicle will reach you within 1d10-Engine rounds (to a limit of 1), bypassing all but impossible terrain and barriers. If your vehicle cannot reach you, the Nitro is refunded.
Boosting: You can spend 1 Nitro to double your vehicle's Speed until your next turn.
Man and Machine: If your vehicle would be destroyed, you must burn a Hero Point to save it or your character perishes as well. The burnt-out husk of your vehicle must then be repaired to its full hit points before it can be used again.
Power Stat: Engine: A Panzer's Engine is one that converts the stuff of the Warp into Nitro to fuel the bonded vehicle. It represence how efficient this conduit is, and how much raw Warp stuff can be burnt.
Resource Stat: Nitro: You have a pool of Nitro equal to your Level + Engine. You regain one Nitro whenever you perform an hour of repair or maintenance on your vehicle.
*Newtype: You gain the Danger Sense feat and a +2k0 bonus to vehicle control tests.
**Engine Heart: You may trade hit points between yourself and your vehicle as a free action, to a limit of your Engine. You must be near your vehicle to do this.
***Power Xtreme: You can spend 3 Nitro to fuse with your vehicle for a scene. This allows you to move like your vehicle as a half action, treat your vehicle's armor as your own, perform Fire Mounted Weapon with your vehicle's weapons at a -10 damage penalty, or spend 1 Nitro to use one of your vehicle's accessories for a round.
****Ghost in the Machine: Maintain Control is now a free action. When outside of your bonded vehicle, you can spend 1 Nitro to control it as if you were behind the wheel.
*****Artifact Core: Select a magical material. Your vehicle's armor, weapons, and weapon ammunition gain the benefits of that material. This choice is permanent.
