You take your chest-high wall with you because you like to do it your way. Plant the focus into a rooted position (usually the ground, but walls, trees, ceilings, etc. are viable). It becomes a piece of cover with ap equal to its armored quality. It is cover, so it can be damaged and break unless it's an artifact. A personal shield used as a focus instead acts like it normally does but it isn't being worn and automatically fails tests against shocking. It occupies a space wide and tall enough to cover its normal user.
