Sudden Strike
Big tanks, big mecha, big guns right? Wrong! Sometimes a martial artist wants to show these gun toting sissies how Real Men do battle in massive vehicles. Sudden Strike is the fusion of martial prowess and mystical combat techniques. The weapon of choice is Unarmed Vehicle CQC Weapons. The preferred action is Maintain Control (Accelerate) with a skill focus in Athletics.
Level 1: Apprentice
--Weapon (Unarmed Vehicle CQC Weapon): Use Unarmed Vehicle CQC Weapons with your martial maneuvers.
- Action (Maintain Control [Accelerate]): Use Maintain Control (Accelerate) actions in martial maneuvers. Any attack-related advantages you apply to the special attack apply to the normal attack made after Maintain Control (Accelerate). That attack may not be a Special Attack of its own.
Level 2: Initiate
(-2) Face-to-Foot Style: If this attack misses, the target of your attack may make a single melee or ranged attack against you. This attack may not be a special attack.
(2*) Push Off: If this attack hits you gain one Momentum for every time you take this advantage.
Level 3: Journeyman
(-1) Skill (Athletics): As part of this attack, make an Athletics check against the static defense of the target. If it fails, the attack fails.
(3) Spectral Conversion: Halve your Armor rounding up, the amount removed is converted to Aura until the beginning of your next turn.
Level 4: Master
Mastery (Super Mode): While piloting a vehicle you may attempt to Parry any non-magic attack. This includes ranged attacks and melee attacks that you would normally be unable to Parry, such as Blasts, weapons with the Flexible property, and Surface Bombardments.
(3) ATATATATATATATATATATA!! Make an additional Fire Mounted Weapon (Melee) action as part of this maneuver. This attack may not be a special attack.
Level 5: Grandmaster
(3) Shining Finger: This attack counts as a magical attack and interacts with Aura instead of Armor.
