Homebrew Exaltation - Tandem
The Great Wheel is a harsh and inhospitable place for lone wanderers. When you go to sleep you must keep one eye open, and while in the company of others it is preferable to keep both open lest you become another victim. True loyalty is so intangible that latent Exalted offer up a significant portion of their power in exchange for everlasting companionship. Fearsome beasts, masses of rotting flesh, and technological terrors alike can be given newfound vigor and purpose when endowed with an Exalted's proclivity for greatness. Some of these Tandem Exalted are the result of banished ghosts, and daemons offering to share their power with mortals in exchange for new life, but the distinction matters little in the end. The two beings become one, not in body, but in spirit. They must live as two sides of the same coin: should one fall, the other will follow their companion into the Warp never to part.
Tell: As Tandem Exalted spend more resource points they unwittingly match the other's movements, and mannerisms more and more. As greater amounts are spent they might speak over each other in sync, finish one another's sentences, or cease conversing altogether, words not being necessary. In the end it becomes apparent that one is a reflection of the other, like a twisted mirror's visage come to life.
Powers:
Attendant: You control a powerful ally. Its size is between 1 and 5, and it has the Mindless trait, however all mental effects it would ignore instead affect you. Its remaining characteristics start at 1 dot, and it receives 8 extra dots to improve these scores to a maximum of 4 for this step. It also receives 10 points to spend on skills up to a maximum of 3 for this step. Finally your ally takes a level in any class it meets the prerequisites for, and it may purchase assets with your starting XP. After character creation it may take any portion of your XP to purchase characteristics, skills, feats, school ranks, spell combos, and special attacks like any character.
Bound: You and your ally share an initiative roll, taking the better of your two statistics when rolling. You share the same Resource Points, Hero Points, Synchronization, and resource point spending limit. When one of you dies you both die. Your actions and hit points remain separate, however each turn one of you loses a Half Action to maintain your connection.
Training: Your ally either has bonus size equal to half your Synchronization rounded up, bonus damage equal to your Synchronization, or bonus Static Defense equal to twice your Synchronization.
Bottleneck: You and your ally can improve your Synchronization no matter your level, but you can not take a higher class level than your Synchronization.
Power Stat: Synchronization
As far as the Wheel is concerned Tandem Exalted are one being. They fight together, they bleed together, they die together. As each half becomes more at ease with their position their Synchronization improves. As their Synchronization grows the two are more capable of coordinating themselves, working with one another, and striving towards a unified goal.
Resource Stat: Link. You and your ally share a number of Links equal to three times your Synchronization. You regain 1 spent Link for every hour you spend outside of conflict with your ally.

★★★ | Couple - Whenever you or your ally performs a 2-die or higher stunt that involves one another you may both benefit from the same stunt that turn, and on each roll you may choose up to two dice and reroll them. |
★★★★ | Evermore - Your ally gains the Stuff of Nightmares trait plus an extra Hero Point. |
★★★★★ | Autonomy - You may spend 2 Links in place of a Half Action to maintain your connection. |
Tandem Ally Assets
Beast
Your ally gains a 2k2 I or R natural weapon with brawling, the Armor Plating (X) trait where X is your Synchronization, and either Quadruped (3x Speed), or Flyer. It also gains either Amphibious, Dark Sight, or Heightened Senses (Any). It is unable to wield weapons, wear armor, cast spells, or speak.
Daemon
Your ally gains the Daemonic trait, it can hover in all three dimensions, and it gains a Charisma and Fellowship score one higher than your own.
Exalted
Your ally is no longer Mindless, and receives 1 dot in all characteristics instead of only some characteristics when distributing starting dots. It chooses a race at ally creation. Its size is the race's size, it gains that race's languages and racial power, it chooses a racial characteristic bonus, gains its racial skill bonuses, and can purchase its racial feats. Your ally doesn't benefit from any of the three Training power options.
Ghost
Your ally may spend 1 Link as a Half Action to become incorporeal as per the Phasing trait for a number of rounds equal to half your Synchronization (rounded down), minimum one. Your ally constantly sees into the Umbra, and can interact with it and incorporeal things as if they were normal. It also gains a Composure score one higher than your own.
Mecha
Your ally gains the Machine (X+3) trait where X is your Synchronization, and it gains an Intelligence score one higher than your own. It may integrate a number of weapons into its body equal to half your Synchronization (rounded up), which conceals those weapons from normal searches. It may draw them as a free action.
Zombie
Your ally gains the Undead trait, and it gains twice as many hit points from Sound Constitution, and class completion bonuses.
Alternate Zombie: Vampire
Vampire
Your ally gains the Undead trait, and it gains a 1k2 R Bite natural weapon that restores 1 Link when it deals any number of wounds.
Your ally gains the Undead trait, and it gains a 1k2 R Bite natural weapon that restores 1 Link when it deals any number of wounds.
