Gun focused atlantian alternative, I would love that I think you're getting too ahead of yourself. How about you introduce yourself in the General Chat Thread? How did you even learn about DtD? I found it disscussed in a fourm onxs

Gun focused atlantian alternative, I would love that So, the easiest way to play a gun focused Atlantean currently is to play an Agarthic with the Kaliber alignment. If you check towards the bottom of the Kaliber entry, you’ll see the Kaliber’s Champions sidebar, which details how (and under what circumstances) Kaliberites gain Gun Kata in place of Sword Schools, and how they interact with powers that affect techniques. Now, Agarthic relies heavily on using and modifying techniques, which can be obtuse to create and might take a fair chunk of experience investment to actually get to the flashy maneuvers you might be expecting. At the very least, Gun Kata aren’t proficiency specific and (usually) start you out with a passive benefit of some sort, unlike Sword Schools.

Add Kirby's species as a race.
Maybe detail the Elemental Spheres?
Pathfinder spheres?

Uhh, you mean small round things or kirby himself eating everything for its power? The first one could be a refluffed gremlin and iirc assimilator is still a thing. I know metaknight is also kirby's race but I don't know what he has in common besides being small and round.
Elemental spheres and pathfinder stuff is a good idea. Pathfinder lore is a blind spot for me. They need stuff to stick it in the blender with but there are possibilities. Iirc the sigmar mortal realm is like the elemental plane of air so start there with like, laputa and the xenoblade cloud sea/granblue sky realm? Exalted has the flat world of creation which is like the elemental spheres too.

I'm vaguely aware exalted has a great wheel-esque disk with elemental territories in it, but my knowledge of exalted lore is pretty low.

Add Kirby's species as a race. Maybe detail the Elemental Spheres? Pathfinder spheres? Honestly, the future-Pathfinder setting as represnted in Starfinder could be plopped into the Great Wheel as a sphere with very little adjustment, considering it is already a mashup of the original Golarion setting (itself a reconstruction of Faerun & Ebberon) with some spelljammer ideas and a kitchen sink of science fiction tropes. Can't recall specifically but I'd put money on some overt 40k references being scattered around that setting. Admittedly it would be very content-rich compared to the other detailed sphere considering there is an entire product line describing it. As for "Pathfinder Spheres" otherwise... I don't think Golarion is distinct enought from the D&D 2e/3e settings that inspired DTD to be meanningfully distinct as their own sphere, but there are certainly a ton of ideas originating in Pathfinder that would be really fun in the Great Wheel. A few from the top of my head: - Razmir is a pretty unique character with a bit of a Vectron whif about him... he could make for a fun addition.
- Nex and Geb (+ the Mana Wastes) could be re-worked into a bespoke warring-planets sphere.
- Hermea fits nicely with DTD's reimagining of Arcadia as a saccharine totalitarian sphere, something could probably done with that
- Osirion is practically begging to be mashed up with Warhammer Fatasy's Tomb Kings. Add in the pulp-Egypt from early D&D adventures and a splash of Stargate and you've really got something there.
- I'll probably pull in some of the Dominion of the Black lore if I ever get around to expang the Pandaemonicon... one more thing for the backlog.
(I was a Pathfinder kid during the dark days D&D 4th, if y'all couldn't tell from this infodump)

Cream™️ (Artifact 5 for a single self-replenishing canister)A miraculous quantum paste that is the closest thing to extracted perfection. It came very close to obsoleting money only to disappear after a planetary misinformation campaign. This substance may have a mind of its own. Addictivity: None Effect: It depends on what you want it for. - 1 dose: Emulate the effects of Biofoam, Comfort, Detox, Nectar or OmniSeal, with none of the side-effects.
- Heal (1 dose): Emulates Bio-Foam, if 10 doses are applied it also administers a regenerative effect as per the Regeneration spell.
- Repair (1 dose): Emulates OmniSeal
- Feed (2 doses): Spontaneously generates 1 meal per 2 doses splattered on a surface. Directly eating the doses also provides an equal amount of nourishment.
- Enhance (5 doses): Gives +1 modifier to the lowest characteristic (not a dot), or removes either the Ugly as Sin
- Improve (variable doses): Increases the quality of an object, amount of doses depends on the object's size and existing quality
- Resurrect (10 doses): Brings back the recently diseased (died with 24 hours).
Cream's self-duplication abilities provide 10 doses per week. Unfortunately this thing is SO coveted that having it in your possession gives you the Wanted hindrance.

Alternative Balor/eye exaltation (No, i don't know why its called Balor at all, and lack of fluff doesn't help but oh well) that represents more mystic eyes of fate and using magic power with your eyes rather than the mythologic evil eye that causes curses and calamities. Not necessarily "better" eyes, like the naruto ones, these eyes just have powers that can be activated with a gaze
Main mechanic: choose a magic school, gain ranks with your power stat. Its casted with power_stat+(wisdom? willpower? composure?) and aimed with perception (maybe just free Zen shooting feat for simplicity). The main draw is that the spells gained are "spell-like abilities" with the benefits and drawbacks that entails: they can only be cast unfettered, cause no psy phenomena, cannot be dispelled, cannot be used in combos, do not count for completion bonuses, may or may not make khornates seethe, etc. And the rest of the exaltation is built to enhance and support this pillar mechanic, although without forgetting some extra abilities so that it is not just doing a single thing and be a one trick pony
Some of the ideas for the power gained are: >Using the eye powers does not provoke (again, its not actually focus power/magic), and "spells" with "touch" instead become "ranged touch", albeit with a range of only 1m >Ability to spend a resource to cast the eyes powers as if pushed >Ability to suffer damage to spend resource. Instead of something determinated, I was thinking of something like a table that you roll a 1d5+(1 per resource spent past your limit in this scene) and get a random result: 2-4 you suffer 1HP damage to the head, 5-7 you also are dazzled, 8-10 you are blinded for a round. >Ability to spend resource to change or add properties to the "spells", like changing damage type, increase range significantly... Very boring and standard, but expected Eldritch Trick >"casting" twice in the same turn, a nerfed version of the atlantean power. Not sure if it can be interesting or leads to repetition "I cast energyball... and then i do it again...", but then again, that's melee fighting sometimes with multiple attacks >Using resource to do something social and not related to combat for some variety, like "Your eyes look very pretty, gain a bonus to charm, persuation for a scene" or "your eyes look scary, gain a bonus to intimidation and deceive". >"seeing beyond fate": Ultimate powstat 5 ability that costs a fuckton of resource points and will make you impervious to provoked opportunity attacks for a round and makes all reactions of a target against one action fail. The wording matters, it is not a "your target cannot react to this spell/attack", they'll have no clue whats going on and will try to dodge/parry as usual, wasting their reaction in the process. Maybe its a tad too strong, but I find its cool and very thematic >Maybe a free eye beam natural weapon that's like a laspistol that can get stronger, solely because I'm an idiot who really likes eye-beams, but its fucking stupid to imagine Shiki suddenly firing a laser for no reason.
Resource: I want this exaltation to have very few resource points that are recovered quickly, like the dragonblood. The balor "powstat+perception" is a start, maybe I would change it to powstat+Level to be more difficult to max out, but I definitely don't want it to be recoverable every round, not even with penalties. I would make it so that it recovers at a pace of "1 resource per minute that you let your eye rest"
Some Assets I though were: >Heterochromia: predictable as fuck, choose two schools instead of just one. To be honest I kinda hate it because while it is expected its also too good to pass and not thematic at all as a result. Maybe have the second power/school be severely weaker >Awakening power: spell book for the eye power, simple as, can be picked after char creation as many times as the player wants, similar to the parangon's legendary trait >Divine cybermancy: the mystic eye is a product of arcane technology. Gain the benefits of best quality cyber eyes and can be used like an optical mechadendrite, or something similar. They are made of some Necrodermis and thus they regenerate and heal
And by the way, just like assets, specific hindrances should be added as options for all exaltations : a hindrance that makes mirrors a weakness, one that makes it so once per session the GM may make your power fire involuntarily at the worst moment (maybe spend a hero point to have the consequence mitigated and avoid the worst case scenario), and reflavored Enemy and Night Terrors

There's no way I can do these classes justice simply because I have no real experience with 4e. Into the pile they go.
Racial class idea: Nightcloak Level 4 Prerequisites: Gnome, Divine Grace, Forbidden Lore 3, Stealth 3, Weaponry 3 Characteristics: Charisma, Intelligence, Wisdom? Schools: Gray Person Completion Bonus: Unique feat: Veil of Darkness (Use Charisma instead of Dexterity for Stealth) Other homebrew feats: -Sleuth by Example (Divine Agent, allies may use your Stealth dots) -Guiding Hand (Gunfighter Saint, secondary effects get +5 TN) Core feats: -Armor Specialization (Any) -Back Stab -Sneak Attack
Racial class idea: Phantasm Guard Level 4 Prerequisites: Gnome, Illusion 3, Tested, can cast Ghastly Visage or Phantasmal Killer Schools: Eldritch Advent, Illusion Completion bonus: Illusion spells deal +1k1 damage Unique feat: Insidious Mind (+1k1 to saving throws against mind-affecting spells) Core feats: -Daggerspell Stance -Greater Spell Focus (Illusion) (optional) -Spell Focus (Illusion) -Spell Penetration
Some feat ideas inspired by Valor, a heroic roleplaying game.
Muscle Guard v1 Whenever you would take enough damage to deal wounds, you may roll Strength as a reaction. If you do, the amount of damage you receive is reduced by your roll but you still take one wound.
Muscle Guard v2 Whenever you would be dealt wounds from an attack, you may make a TN 20 Strength test as a reaction. If you do, the amount of wounds you take is reduced by 1, plus another for each raise you would have on the test, to a minimum of 1 wound received.
Acrobatic Dodge It already exists in the form of the Dodge action. At least you don't get extra damage for failing.
Aura Deflect Same logic as Muscle Guard (either versions) except you roll Willpower. Instead of taking minimum wounds, you instead gain 1 Fatigue afterwards. If you're immune to fatigue, eh, something else happens.
Attack Prediction It's called Combat Insight and/or Zen Dodging
Attack Prediction (for realsies) Similar logic as Muscle Guard but you roll Intelligence (or Wisdom?). This feat's penalty
Resolute Defense Once per scene, you may make an Alignment test against an attack as a reaction. If you pass, the attack has no effect on you. If you fail, you do not lose devotion but you instead lose 1 Resolve.
