Cogitator-Aided Design: Every vehicle you actively maintain gains 2 additional armor.

Datajack Dronemaster: When controlling a vehicle using a remote uplink system, you may take reaction actions for the vehicle.

DIY: You gain a raise on Tech-Use tests to assemble vehicles from available/purchased parts/chassis.

Extremely Rapid Prototyping: This feat can be taken multiple times. The time required to construct a vehicle using the Rapid Prototyping feat is divided in half for every time you have taken this feat, and the constructed vehicle gains an additional hit point. As well, double the maximum allowed drive rating.

Fair Usage: You can't expect a bicycle to take you up in its arms and carry you: you got to show intelligence. After all, it's machinery. You may spend a Hero Point whenever a vehicle you're piloting has zero HP to delay its destruction for a round.

Fine Tuning: Every weapon on every vehicle you actively maintain gains +1k0 damage.

Handyman: This feat can be taken multiple times. For the purposes of vehicle repair and maintenance, you double the number of people you count as for every time you have taken this feat.

Joystick Jockey: When controlling a vehicle via Remote Uplink, you may take a Full Action to perform a Full Action or two Half Actions for the vehicle. You may also use Trick Shots and Special Attacks with the vehicle.

Mental Map: You can make a map of your surrounding area, in your mind! Even if knocked unconscious, the map remains, and so helps you keep aware of your location at nearly all times. You can still get lost, if in an area you haven't mapped out, or if affected by external forces, or if even the location is specifically created to prevent mapping.

Mentat Machining: Every vehicle you actively maintain gains 1 additional resilience.

Rapid Prototyping: You may, using parts and scrap on-hand, jury-rig a vehicle of Uncommon rarity or lower with a drive rating no higher than 5. If the parts available are entirely unsuitable, you may perform a Tech-Use test with a TN appropriate to the jury-rigging difficulty to fabricate the needed components. This vehicle has one flaw which does not provide VP. The time required for assembly is a number of hours equal to half the constructed vehicle’s size.

Very Fine Tuning: Every weapon on every vehicle you actively maintain gains +0k1 damage.

Weapon Profiency (Vehicle): Gain a number of rolled dice equal to your level on any attack roll made with a vehicle weapon. This is a special proficiency, applicable to the fire mounted weapon action but not able to be taken unless specified.

Tweaked rapid prototyping from "uncommon quality" to "uncommon rarity" for reasons that should be obvious. Also added an "up to" for the rarity in case you don't want maximum benefit.

So I'll admit, I've never gotten a chance to see the true heights of what a rigger can pull off, but I do have to ask this; is the completion bonus not a bit much? Slots are, at least in my experience, the single most valuable "currency" of vehicle construction, and while the power gamer in me loves the idea of more space to fit more stuff in with, I'd also argue it can get out of hand. Though at the same time small vehicles need all the help they can get so I don't know, just some thoughts I wanted to air.

Slots are valuable, but I am of the opinion that its OP-ness is overstated. Before I start, I argue the bonus slots are just that: bonus. If you construct a vehicle, you probably already have the parts you wanted most. The slots are more likely to be used for things the vehicle owner wanted but prioritized as lower importance slots-wise. Because if they had the slots but didn't get the part, then it was too expensive for their budget.


One rigger gets five extra slots total. This means you can get:

1. Up to five more 1-slot parts
2. One multi-slot part

3. Freed-up space to reduce miniaturization
4. Some combination of the above

If you want more slots for single-slot parts, those parts tend toward being either not all that powerful or miniaturized and therefore more expensive. The more powerful something is, the more slots it tends to cost. An exception is speed, which doesn't cost many slots but is super expensive cost-wise.

A multi-slot part is simply one more part for the vehicle. Five slots is enough for any one part you can afford with either zero or one miniaturization.

Cutting down on miniaturization reduces costs on your vehicle if and when you get the opportunity to make or remake your vehicle. This means you already had the parts and just want your vehicle to be easier to repurchase.


The shopping cart of doom is completely doable without +5 slots, it just costs more.

A smaller vehicle is going to want the slots since they're well, small and could really use more parts or one good part. I imagine the most likely choices are armor, aura, an orgone antenna, or the v20 void shield. Something protective since its small size makes it more fragile. I don't consider that op, I consider that useful.

A larger vehicle is going to want it to reduce its cost since it's large enough to have the slots for near-everything it wants anyway.

And if multiple people become riggers and maintain the same vehicle, why not reward them for doing so? RaW a baneblade is impossible to create without multiple riggers and even then it's still super-expensive with all the miniaturization.
