Syrnethread
Syrnethread is a magical textile material created by the Syrne many millenia ago. Some speculate that Syrnethread was what Syrneth clothing was comprised of and the few scraps that are found today are all that is left of their fashion. Though clearly magical in nature, at first individual scraps do not appear to have many special properties other than resisting damage, but upon closer inspection each individual thread of the material is constantly weaving between one another in a constant ebb and flow. When two scraps of Syrnethread are introduced to one another it creates a magical spectacle that would almost appear violent to the observer - the exposed threats meet and clash, weaving and stitching themselves together forming a new greater patchwork creation with a combined identity of its own. Surprisingly the resultant material is quite rigid, firm and as durable as other magical metals, with the threads weaving themselves together so tightly and refusing to give.
With the further guided introduction of larger pieces, the expert tailors and crafters of the wheel began to create wondrous patterns of artifacts, armor and weapons from the material each with more amazing properties than the last.
The results? Bionics that weave themselves onto a host, weapons that grip you back and armor that compresses to allow other armor to be worn atop.
Syrnethread Artifacts have a patchwork appearance, with various textile material textures meeting at points across their surface where large stitches hold them together. Upon close inspection the material seems to shimmer as the threads and stitches constantly weave among themselves. Syrnethread armor and weaponry is created by heating the Syrnethread in forges to temperatures that would normally melt even the strongest of metals. At this temperature, the threads are constantly squirming and weaving among themselves in tight compressed patterns and are able to be hammered into blades or ammunition.
Magical Weapons, Armor and Bionics:
Melee Weapon: +1k0 on attack rolls and gains the Anchored, and Binding properties.
Ranged Weapon: +1k0 on attack rolls and gains gains the Anchored and Binding properties
Special Ammunition: Ammunition fired has the Annoying and Immobilizing weapon properties.
Armor: Syrnethread Armor has no Max Dex, but instead takes a penalty to AP based upon how heavy the armor is. The penalties are as follows: Light 0, Medium 1, Heavy 2, Extreme 3, Power 4.
Bionic Arm: Syrnethread Arms weave themselves onto the users torso and protects both locations granting the Body +2 AP also. They can stretch unatturally far and give any Melee Weapon they hold Reach.
Bionic Locomotion: Your legs cannot be snared, bound or immobilized and you gain the feat Catfall.
Bionic Heart: The threads of fate flow through your every vein, and they can only be cut. Gain +2 Armor to the Gizzards and any time you would take non R-type damage you may reduce the number of hit points lost by one.
Promethean Asset:
Syrnethread: Syrnethread isn't as hardy as other materials but is constantly weaving and restitching itself to suit the requirements of it's host. If you wear armor on top of your integrated armor the AP will stack, however if you do you will only gain half the bonus granted by Integrated Armor in the areas covered. If the armor is removed or destroyed, your full integrated armor bonus will return.
