so for a long time I've been toying with the idea of a "sentry/building" cypher. I never got around to that. But, for one rank in the automata cypher (or just directly going mechromancer) you can get a level 1 construct and oh hey look what I did. Also included are a level 2 and 3 variant. Level 1 Sentry TurretLevel 1 Construct Pow: 2 Fin: 2 Res: 3 Skills: Ballistics, Perception Feats: Weapon Proficiency (Basic), Sound Constitution Stats: Size/Res: 4/4 Static Defense: 14 HP: 13 Armor: 2 - machine plating Mental Defense: 20 Resolve: 6 Speed: 4 Resource: 3/3 Traits: Machine(2), Auto-Stabilized Abilities: Deployable - the sentry turret has a portable storage mode it can be deployed from (or returned to) with a ready action. while in its storage mode the sentry turret is inert and takes no actions. Weapons: Autogun [basic, 2k2 I, pen 0, S/10, 90M, 30/Full] Operator's Notes attack roll = 4k3 (6k4 on full auto, 7k4 FA short range, 8k5 FA point-blank) in addition, you could easily change the autogun to a SAW because inheritance 1 & inheritance 2 both have the same BP cost. You'd gain a little extra firepower but loose single-shot fire which, doesn't matter, because auto-stabilized. Treat the autogun variant as a mini-sentry and the SAW as the L1 if you like. Can a spirit take inheritance for an integrated vehicle? I get the feeling I already know the answer but it has recently come up as a consideration.

Well, the "other" category exists, and thanks to warforged we have easily recycled rules for "becoming" a vehicle. That said I don't think dumping 4 BP to get ahold of that feat is really needed, I personally would allow a player to just have a 1bp "turn into the vehicle" feature as long as they also buy the vehicle with inheritance dots. Conceivably speaking a spirit can do nearly whatever it wants as long as you can pay the points for it and your SM approves, and I at least think that the proposition I offered is a fair one.
