Power. It is one of the most important concepts in existence. Without it, one cannot do anything at all. Strength, money, acumen, social influence; they are all various expressions of power. On the battlefield, power is the defining attribute that decides which person or faction becomes victorious. Immense amounts of resources are poured into attaining even the slightest advantage one can have over another, and yet for many it is not enough. They want so much power that the other guy will never stand a chance, and they are willing to pay any price as long as their goals are accomplished. Stellar Meteor accommodates just that, a Gun Kata that destroys the user just as hard as anyone on the receiving end in an epic display of overkill.
Forbidden Lore is the key skill for Stellar Meteor, to wring out every last bit of power from dangerous sources not frequently used by the common man. Despite what many people think, this Gun Kata isn't inherently evil. It's just that many who are resorting this Pyrrhic discipline are the unscrupulous folk that often fall under the purview of Chaos. Make no mistake, the first ever user was a heroic archer with noble intentions. He gave his life to bloodlessly ending a war with a powerful arrow that created a border between two warring nations.
Level 1: Apprentice
(1) Consolation Prize: This attack gains a static bonus on the attack roll and damage roll equal to the total value of restrictions it has, to a maximum of twice your Gunslinger Level each.
- Action (Full Defense): Use Full Defense actions with trick shots. Any attack-related advantages that would apply to this trick shot are applied to your next ranged attack. That attack cannot be a trick shot of its own.
Level 2: Initiate
(-2) Resonant Feedback: This attack also hits the user even if it misses the target.
(-1) Bloodshed Ultimatum: This attack must deal a minimum number of wounds equal to twice the target's level or it deals no damage at all.
Level 3: Journeyman
(-1) Skill (Forbidden Lore): As a part of this attack, make a Forbidden Lore test against the target's Static Defense. If it fails, the attack fails.
- Tryhard Mode: Trick shots with at least one advantage or restriction from this Gun Kata gain +1k0 on the attack and damage roll for each of the following penalties the user chooses to fulfill afterwards: Static Defense is 0 for one round, lose 2 points of Resolve, make an Alignment test, roll for Perils of the Warp three times (affecting only the user), roll on the Shock Table, forfeit your next turn, get set on fire, receive a point of X-type critical damage to the Gizzards.
Level 4: Master
(3) Magnificent Destruction: Everyone who sees this attack becomes Stunned for one round, unless they pass a TN 25 Willpower or Composure test.
(4) Shoop Da Whoop: This attack deals E damage and gains Disintegration.
Level 5: Grandmaster
(-1*) Soul Burn: The user is dealt X E-type wounds to the Body and gains X/2 levels of Fatigue (round down) afterwards, where X is the total amount of Style Points this attack has. This restriction can be taken up to five times, each one increases the maximum amount of Style Points this attack can have by 1.
