If the enemy is too strong to defeat right now, then weaken him until you can. Founded by a secretive Human organization that employs classified weaponry, Terminus Lockdown secures high-threat areas by debilitating entities to manageable levels. Tech-Use is the key skill to this Gun Kata, as much of its effects are merely the result of attaching gadgetry to existing weapons.
Level 1: Apprentice
(1) Tracker Beacon: You know the location of everyone hit by this attack until the end of the encounter.
- Action (Overwatch): Use Overwatch actions with trick shots. Any attack-related advantages applied to this trick shot are instead applied to the attack triggered by the Overwatch action, which cannot itself be a trick shot. Any skill-based restrictions for Overwatch-based trick shots must be rolled against a TN of 20, rather than the static defense of the target.
Level 2: Initiate
(-2) Component Overload: Your weapon overheats after this attack. It also jams if it can.
(1*) Hobbling Shot: A target that is dealt wounds as a result of this attack takes -1k0 on all tests for one round, for each time this advantage is taken, up to your gunslinger level.
Level 3: Journeyman
(-1) Skill (Tech-Use): As part of this attack, make a Tech-Use check against the target's Static Defense. If it fails, the attack fails.
(1/3) Area of Effect: If this attack is successful, the non-damaging effects of this attack apply to everyone within 3m of the target. For 3 points, this range is increased to 9m.
Level 4: Master
- Extreme Prejudice: Your weapons gain the BrĂ¼tal property when using Trick Shots with at least one advantage from this Gun Kata.
(2*) Modular Ammunition: For each time this advantage is taken, this attack gains one of the following: Anti-Materiel, Black Smoke, Bouncing Shot, Concussive, Disorienting, Halting, Momentum, Sapping, Seeking, or Tranq. You cannot choose the same property more than once.
Level 5: Grandmaster
(5) Containment Orb: Targets hit by this attack are Immobilized and grant Combat Advantage for one round. If the target is a vehicle with Size 10 or less, its Momentum drops to zero (but doesn't crash) and cannot accelerate for one round instead.
