Before the modern races, there were beings. Some say that they are the broken husks of whatever the Syrne made in their efforts to create new life, others that they came before even the Syrne and are the incomplete failures of whatever almighty power created the Wheel. Whatever the case, they are the Shedim.
The Shedim are almost impossibly old, may be made of the primordial matter of the Wheel, and have memories that extend right back to the dawn of time - or at least, they think they extend that far back. Some of them spent the intervening aeons hibernating, others joined small communities as multiple generations of the same family, and still others simply wandered, taking in the sights of the Wheel. Most of them have forgotten more than they ever thought they knew.

Some of them spent the intervening aeons hibernating, others joined small communities as multiple generations of the same family, and still others simply wandered, taking in the sights of the Wheel. Most of them have forgotten more than they ever thought they knew.
For some unknown reason, the Shedim are now reawakening to their ancient memories, and the Wheel is throwing them full-force into the hands of Destiny itself. It remains to be seen whether they will claim a place, or whether the modern races will prove to be the true inheritors of the Wheel.
Static Powers
Ancient Knowledge
Having lived so long, you have the ability to recall events so ancient that only the gods themselves can think of older. Gain a free Start of Time speciality in two of Academic Lore, Arcana, Common Lore and Forbidden Lore, and gain an additional dot in one of those two. You also gain a free Primordial speciality in your racial skills.
Old Money
As the Vampire power. (Gain four dots to spend on Backgrounds.)
Out of the Aeons
Gain four dots to be spent on up to four Artifacts. You may break the five-dot limit on Artifacts at character creation.
Prototype
All Shedim are flawed versions of the races they were supposed to become. Each race gives a choice of +1 to two or more Characteristics. Choose one of those Characteristics you have not chosen before. You lose one dot in that stat and it costs twice as much to raise. This does not affect your cap and if you drop to 0 dots you may buy the first one after character creation for 200xp.
POWER STAT - Agelessness
As a Shedim comes to terms with their replacements' existence and culture, they learn more about how their different composition affects them and learn to use it more effectively, in addition to remembering things that they had forgotten.
Resource Stat - Primacy
Your Primacy cap is equal to twice your Agelessness. You regain one Primacy every half hour.

Your Primacy cap is equal to twice your Agelessness. You regain one Primacy every half hour.
Agelessness | Power Gained |
⚫⚪⚪⚪⚪ | Tide of Ages You gain the Trance feat, and may remain in a trance state for a number of days equal to your Constitution plus your Agelessness. |
⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪ | Ancient Beyond Reckoning Choose five skills. You gain a free dot in each of them and may go up to six dots in each of them. |
⚫⚫⚫⚪⚪ | Primordial Matter Gain +1 Resilience, +2 Aura which stacks with other sources of Aura and +2 AP over your whole body which stacks with other sources of armour. |
⚫⚫⚫⚫⚪ | Antediluvian Style Gain a free dot in a Sword School, Magic School or Gun Kata, and you may buy dots in it as though it were a part of any class progression. You also only need to spend 100 XP to buy the first dot in any School. |
⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ | Strange Aeon Whenever you would die while conscious, instead you fall unconscious for a length of time in days equal to your total damage taken (including critical damage), divided by five. At the end of that time, you reawaken with full Hit Points and Resolve and with no missing body parts. While you are unconscious for this reason, if you suffer a number of Wounds equal to the sum of your Willpower and Constitution, you die permanently. You may burn a Hero Point to avoid falling unconscious in this way, and must burn a Hero Point to avoid fates such as permanent imprisonment, etc. |
Shedim Age Assets
Yen
Your age means that you think in the long-term and in some way you can't quite understand, this enhances your survivability. Whenever you spend Primacy, regain one lost Hit Point per point of Primacy spent. Once per session, you may spend one point of Primacy as a free action to regain your Agelessness in or two points of Primacy, whichever is greater.
Coranar
You take life as it comes, one day at a time. Whenever you spend Primacy, you may reduce the TN of your next test by 5. Once per day, you may spend any amount of Primacy as part of a test to get a static bonus to that test equal to the square of the amount of Primacy spent in this way.
Loa
You enjoy the hustle and bustle of everyday life, as it gladdens your ancient heart. Whenever you spend Primacy, make a Agelessness test with TN equal to six times the amount of Primacy spent. If you pass this test, regain that much Primacy minus one. (For example, if you spend 4 Primacy, you'd make a TN 24 Agelessness test to regain 3 points of Primacy.) Once per scene, you may spend one point of Primacy as a free action to gain a free raise on all Social tests for the duration of that scene.
Enquie
You almost live for combat, even though it threatens your existence. Whenever you spend Primacy in combat or as part of rolling Initiative, your next successful attack gains a bonus to damage equal to twice the amount of Primacy spent. At the beginning of combat, you may spend any amount of Primacy to increase your Initiative by that amount.
Re
Despite being so old, you still live life in the immediate present, very rarely taking a moment to think. Whenever you spend Primacy, gain a bonus to your next skill test equal to the amount of Primacy spent. At the beginning of each round, you may spend any amount of Primacy as a free action to increase your Static Defense by that amount for that round.
Shedim Appearance
The Shedim are wrought much like their replacements, but they are somehow cruder, less sophisticated, in their construction. There is nothing to indicate this to the eye overtly, but there is a feeling around them of being sketched, rather than properly painted, as it were. This feeds into their Tell: as they spend Primacy, they area around them also seems to become more primitive.
