Olivier will spend the time purchasing some new equipment. Otherwise he would attempt to learn more of his fellow department heads. Namely he will be attempting to acquire a writing kit, micro-bead, chrono, and med kit. time to acquire each item and result of wealth test. writing kit (5 hours, 15 on wealth test:succeed.) micro bead(6 hours, 28 on wealth test:succeed) chrono (9 hours, 13 on wealth test:succeed.)med-kit (one day, 39 on wealth test:succeed.)

*cracks sm knuckles* so wake's post got me thinking on how i'll be actually implementing the payment mechanically, so here be the rules on how it'll work. This first chunk of the downpayment, as well as the second half, will provide 2 dots of "phantom wealth" each, to a total of four. When making wealth tests, you may add any number of these phantom wealth dots to your wealth rating for that roll. If the test is successful, the phantom wealth dot is lost. You don't suffer wealth strain on tests you spend phantom wealth dots on.

In the days before the party's departure from Sigil, Yarrow dispatches messages to her contacts requesting market listings for cargo bay and enhanced sensors consoles at major shipyards within the three crystal spheres the party will be heading to, and three other unrelated crystal spheres whose names she pulls at random out of a travel guide just to keep people guessing. Rolling Contacts + Charisma for this per contact rules, I'm mainly hoping a success would let them count as "servants, negotiators, or factors" for acquisition tests for those consoles. Result: 35. She also discusses the intricacies of kite tactics with her followers, who she hopes will competently handle the Path of Totality whenever she isn't aboard her spelljammer, reviews her collection of textbooks and manuals, and indicates the availability of these references to the other members of the party. So if anyone wants a +1k0 on their next skill test to which any or all of the following specialties would apply, per Reference rules, feel free: Academic Lore (Law) Animal Ken (Spelljammer Pests) Arcana (Navigation) Common Lore (Spacer Culture) Pilot (Spelljammer) Tech-Use (Spelljammer Maintenance) Also stats for the Path of Totality because I forgot to put them in my sheet: Budget: Holdings 1 (+50 BP) Hull: Sultana-class (-20 BP) Hull Class: Escort Crew: 14 Crew Quality: 3 (-10 BP) - Hull Strength: 45 Shield Type: Mk.1 Regenerative (-10 BP) Shield Strength: 50 Shield Regen: 25 - Maneuverability: +5 Acceleration: +10 Speed: 12 Sensors: +0 - Consoles: 1 Tactical (empty) 1 Universal (empty) Weapons: 2 Forward (empty) 1 Rear (Antimeson Heavy Cannon, -10 BP) Antimeson Heavy Cannon: Dam 5k4, Dis 5, Acc -10, Crit +1, Range 40, Cost 10, Arc Narrow, Type Lance

regarding the ship, I don't mind it being here but do be sure to also edit the full stat breakdown into the post hosting character sheet post for quicker reference for everyone yeah?
As for the results of the contacts; while you'll have to be sure to handle the payments yourself when you arrive, your associates are able to point you to a few specific people known to work in those parts. When the time comes to commit to the purchase, you can go ahead and reduce the aquisition time for those two consoles from 1d10 days to just 1 day, though of course time will still need to be spent on installation upon purchase regardless. Now, if you also want to make a wealth roll now to order the equipment now in order to begin installation upon arrival at a specific shipyard, go ahead.

right, since nobody else has posted anything to do by now...
The day of departure arrives at last, the starport bustling with activity, crew loading and unloading goods from all manner of vessels, merchants trying to pedal goods of variable quality to travelers, and guards doing regular patrols to keep things as ordered as they can. Lerre awaits the group at the space docks, another suitcase in his hand as he sips some coffee from a mug in his other hand. Standing beside him is a dragonborn with dull blue scales and pale eyes watching the passers-by, the man adorned with naught but a burlap cloak and a large sword strapped to his back.
