Some bashers just get to be special. They get possessed by daemons, or fancy furry tattooes. Others might just be born lucky. But an Adversary? They were probably lucky to be born. Miserable wretches, the scum of the Wheel... not merely a soulless pariah, but the sum total of a crystal sphere's hate and antipathy given form.
And more to the point, they're kind of a dick.
Becoming an Adversary is something most sane cutters would balk at. It's an exaltation defined by antipathy and antagonism; the most common trigger is raw envy, a burning desire to show up a former friend or rival twisted into something loathsome. After which, they can't help but hurt people, spite and hatred redefining them in opposition to all that was once dear.
Powers
Antagonistic Fervor: Hatred is your life's blood, and a weapon to be kept honed at all cost; without a task to focus your hate, it ebbs, leaving you weak and without purpose. You lose 1 point of Spite every hour you are not in combat, or in social combat spent attempting to erode disposition. In addition, when attempting to erode disposition in social combat, halve the target's Willpower when determining how many times you have to do so for the effect to be permanent.
Bloodied but Unbowed: Your will is strong, your hate is pure, you will not break. Gain a static bonus on Willpower tests equal to your Perversity. When your current Hit Points are equal to or less than the average of your Willpower + Constitution (round down, to a minimum of 1), double this bonus.
In the Spirit of Perverseness: If you would gain rolled dice as a temporary bonus on a test (e.g. stunting, Ganging Up, etc.), you take a check on the roll. If you would take rolled dice as a temporary penalty on a test, gain a free raise.
Kubrick Stare: Your tell is an aura of menace, the darkness in your heart becoming plain for all to see as you spend Spite. When your tell is at the 2-3 point level, you gain +1k1 on Intimidation tests. At the 4-5 point level, your enemies take a check on rolls to resist your attacks, their effects, and your social attacks made to erode disposition. At the 6+ level, your bonus on Intimidation tests increases to +2k1.
Power Stat: Perversity: Yours is an unnatural existence, hating all and hated by all as your soul blackens and dies under a pervasive antagonism. And yet, this hatred is what sustains you, keeping you standing stubbornly against a Wheel that damns your very existence, and eventually giving you the power to ruin it in turn.
Resource Stat: Spite: Hate is all that the universe can give you, and you give it Spite in return. You have a maximum of 10 Spite. You regain Spite equal to your Perversity whenever you inflict or suffer critical damage, kill an enemy, or spend an hour doing nothing but seethe in hatred.
*For Hate's Sake: Gain a static bonus to damage rolls and on social attacks made to erode disposition equal to half your remaining Spite.
**Bloody Lust: Each time you kill an enemy, you gain a cumulative +1 static bonus on damage rolls for the rest of the scene.
***Resentment: Each time you take damage or suffer a harmful condition, you gain a cumulative +1k0 on attack rolls for the rest of the scene, up to a maximum of your Perversity. You do not take a check for this bonus In the Spirit of Perverseness.
****The Power of Hate: You can choose to double the effects of spending Spite, but if you do, you are unable to spend Spite during your next turn.
*****Undying Hate: As long as you have Spite left, you have the Stuff of Nightmares trait.
Adversarial Urge Assets
Malfean
Nobody deserves the tortures you've experienced. That doesn't mean you won't subject them to it anyway. Whenever you spend Spite on an attack roll, that attack gains Power Field and +2 Penetration (or ignores 2 points of Aura) for each point of Spite spent. Additionally, you gain a free specialty (Dancer) in Performer.
Cecelynian
The Wheel is full of stronger bullies shoving weaklings into a pit, and it is the lot of the weak to drown clinging to tattered honor or to drag themselves up on the claws of hateful hypocrisy. Add your Perversity as a static bonus to all opposed tests and on all tests made against creatures with a lower Level than yours. Double this bonus if both apply.
Pyrian
Exalts are people who are destined for greatness, standing out from the throng. Bar that. You can interfere with those fated ones, cutting their grand destinies off at the knee. Whenever you spend Spite or a Hero Point during a turn, anybody engaged in melee with you or that you have targeted with an attack during your turn cannot spend resource points or Hero Points until your next turn.
Adorjani
Love and hate are functionally the same thing; either way, you care about someone's well-being. Whenever you spend time interacting with someone without trying to kill them, you can spend 1 Spite to become infatuated with them, gaining +2k0 on social attacks made to build disposition with them, and Antagonistic Fervor does not cause you to lose Spite during time spent interacting with them in a positive or constructive way. You know the general status of the target of your infatuation at all times. Double the bonuses from For Hate's Sake, Bloody Lust, Resentment, or spending Spite against the target of your infatuation, and you gain the benefits of the Hatred feat against anyone else who interacts with them without trying to kill them. You can only be infatuated with one individual at a time; if you become infatuated with someone else, you gain Hatred for the previous target.
Ophidian
Some people are twisted by hate. You were born hateful, a silver tongue tarnished black. Antagonistic Fervor does not cause you to lose Spite if you made social attacks with the goal of compelling uncouth behavior or breaking alignment within the last hour, and you gain a static bonus on social attacks made to compel uncouth behavior or break alignment equal to half your remaining Spite. When your Tell is at the 4-5 point level, your enemies take a check on rolls to resist all of your social attacks, not just those made to erode disposition. In addition, you regain Spite equal to your Perversity whenever your social attack reduces its target's Resolve to 0.
Kimberian
It's not enough to rage and howl and smash your surroundings; your hate won't be sated until its target is crushed utterly. Gain one rank of the Enchantment magic school. You can advance this school as if it appeared in any class progression you possess. A creature targeted by your Mind-Affecting spells does not automatically resist suicidal or self-harming commands, instead making a new saving throw with a number of raises equal to the difference between their Level and your Perversity (taking checks if your Perversity is higher). In addition, your attacks always inflict at least 1 wound, regardless of the target's Resilience.
